As salaamu alaykum,

Suppose I am late for the Isha Salaah and by the time I reach the Masjid, the Imaam has already finished reciting Surah Fatiha and is now reciting another surah from Qur'aan. After making takbeer ihraam should I recite Surah fatiha within myself or just stand silently? What is the opinion of those Ulemah who believe that the recitation of the Imaam suffices the followers in loud salaah in such a case?

JazakAllaah khayr

Sajid
