In the Name of Allaah...

The source seems to be: http://www.sahab.net/forums/showthread.php?t=386699 (and the words have been reviewed and updated by the shaykh himself)

I firmly advise that all translations about current events be thoroughly checked for accuracy and clarity, and that no one should rush to translate things of this magnitude without careful scrutiny of their work.

Translators and sources should also be identified clearly.

Students who are trying their hands at translation but have not yet attained a recognized level of proficiency should fear Allaah and stay away from these kinds of crucial articles that are extremely important in preserving the Muslims' lives and honor.

1) Regarding the passage:

quote:
Firstly: To seek refuge with Allaah and make Du'aa with establishing the obligations (Faraa'idh).
The passage was updated by the shaykh to include the following completion:

Firstly: To turn to Allaah, maintaining the performance of your obligatory and rawaatib (most important optional) prayers, supplicating much in the last part of the night that Allaah removes this trial from you.  Allaah has promised you that He will respond to you, as He, the Honored and Exalted, has said, "And your Lord has said: Call upon Me (alone) and I shall answer you."  So supplicate and be confident that He will respond.

2) Regarding the passage:

quote:
If the situation with these forces are without corruption in the sanctuaries and the wealth then you should sit in your homes and close it, close the doors. And whoever forces and enters upon you and opens the doors, then fight them with the strongest of what is possible. Defend from him until there is no corruption in the wealth, selves, and blood. Repel him with what is easy and if he rejects it then repel him with what you are able. The reality is that the aggressor, the ruling upon him in the legislation is like this to fight and if he is killed then he's in the Fire. The victim, if he is traumatized or killed, then he is in the Heaven as a Martyr just as the the Prophet -salallaahu alaihi salam - informed with that. Defend with what is easy, do what is easy and close the doors. So preserve the sanctity and we ask Allaah to remove this Fitnah in a short time and resume security and remove fear.
I would suggest:

If these forces attack without any respect for people's rights, wealth, or honor, then remain inside your homes and lock the doors.  If someone aggresses, opening your doors and entering your homes, then repel him, to protect your honor, wealth, and physical safety from being violated.  Try to repel him with the least force necessary (to protect yourselves).  If he refuses to leave, then repel him however you are able.

The ruling on the agressive attacker (without right) in Islaam, in reality, is that he is to be fought.  He will go to the Fire if he is killed, and the oppressed Muslim (who was attacked) will be a martyr in Paradise if he is hurt or killed, as mentioned by the Prophet (may Allaah raise his rank and grant him Paradise).

I need to stress the point about trying to repel the invader using the least force possible.  An oppressor who does not desist is allowed to be fought and killed.  This might even be obligatory in some cases, when the oppressor seeks to violate people's wealth, honor, and physical safety.  Repel him with the least possible force.  If that does not work, then use a more forceful tactic, and so on.

Lock your doors and protect your rights and honor.  We ask Allaah to remove this trial quickly, and to replace the fear (you are experiencing) with safety.

And Allaah knows best.

Shaykh Zayd Al-Madkhalee said:

All praise is due to Allaah. May the Salaat and Salaam be upon the Messenger of Allaah and his family and companions.

To Proceed:

We regret (what happened in) this place and we work with your situation and you know that it is the Qadr (predisposition) of the One who predisposes (Allaah) and we believe in the Qadr and in patience and perseverance and make effort in repulsing the evil .

So my advice to the students of knowledge like yourselves in this Fitnah (trial) and Mihnah (calamity):

Firstly: To seek refuge with Allaah and make Duýaa with establishing the obligations (Faraaýidh) and the optional prayers (Rawaatib), and to increase in supplication (making Duýaa) in the latter part of the night that Allaah removes from you what has afflicted you of the Fitnah. And Allaah has promised you that He will answer you, just as He -azza wa jall- has said:

ýAnd your Lord said, Call upon Me and I will answer youý So supplicate with confidence that He will answer.

Secondly: If the situation with these forces is that they are attacking you without respecting the sanctity (rights of the people) and the wealth and blood (honor) then you should stay in your homes and firmly close the doors. And whoever forces and enters upon you and opens the doors, then repel him to protect your wealth, selves, and blood from transgression. Repel him with the least force and if he rejects it then repel him with what you are able.

The reality is that the ruling upon the aggressor in the legislation is that he is fought and if he is killed then heýs in the Fire. The victim, if he is injured or killed and he is from the Muslims, then he is in the Heaven as a Martyr just as the the Prophet -salallaahu alaihi salam ý informed with that. Defend with the least force and lock the doors. I emphasize that the defense should be with the least force necessary. In the case that the oppressor does not refrain (with the least force), it is allowed that he be  fought (with more force), and it is obligatory in the case that he wants to transgress the wealth, dignity, and blood. So defend with the least force and close the doors and preserve the sanctity and dignity and we ask Allaah to remove this Fitnah in a short time and resume security and remove fear.

Wa Salaamu ýAlaikum and pass my Salaam to your brothers.
