A hindu term, i would assume some Muslims from the Indian sub-continent have included it in their practice of Islaam somehow, as they have many bid'ahs that result from their closeness to the hindus.
The idea tends to fit with the soofees as well, and Allaah knows best if this is even the word you are asking about.
