As Salaam 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatuh,
al-Hamdulillaah, there are a great number of unique translations on salafitalk.net and it might seem that it is the ideal place to present new works and in some regards, this is correct. However, there is a better way promote these translations and beneficial knowledge.
a) Upon completing a translation, try submitting it to one of the known sites for articles such as salafipublications.com. By doing this, you:
- Establish a permanent home for the article
- The article is a knowledge-based site/layout which makes it easily accessible, much like when you find books at a library/database
- Other like articles are point/click away
- May have PDF and other options/editors/proof-readers etc.
b) After the article is published, create a new thread on Salafitalk.net
- forums are for discussion, they are not ref. libraries, as time passes, the discussions die off, the thread falls back until it is deep in the forum (somewhere?)
- Posting a note or a copy of the new article will suffice to get popularise it in the short-term
- linking it to a salafee article site will promote traffic to that site and increase index positioning

Just some advice insha'Allaah, way too many wonderful, unique, knowledge filled gems are ONLY on salafitalk.net and this is not the purpose of the fourm, perhaps due to Sahab.net and other forums, it may seem to be the way to present translations, but it should used a secondary promotion, not as a permanent base, as forums arenýt designed for this and your intention to benefit people may not be as fulfilled compared to storing the article on a knowledge-based ref. site.
Currently, we are going through salafitalk.net and collecting many translations from Moosaa Richardson (at his request) and making articles on troid.org for this purpose.

As Salaamu 'Alaykum,
Bismillah,
Perhaps you could post/create an e-mail account specifically for sending translations to TROID, SPUBS, and whoever else that may accept well translated articles. That way if someone wants to present his/her material they know EXACTLY where to send it.
I myself would like to take advantage of such an oppurtunity. Inshaa Allah, this type of project would be from co-operating upon righteousness and piety.

Another benefit of brothers/sisters contributuing their articles to these websites is that it would allow them (the websites) to constantly have new articles on them.
and Allah, The Most High, knows best.
