Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,

I hope you are all in the best of health and iman inshallah, i just wanted to ask a question and hope someone will be able to shed some light on this issue. I have been told that it is Haram for females to wear trousers as they are a peice of clothing specifically meant for men.

I understand that it is haram to wear trousers outside or infront of non mahrams as this is not hijab at all. However is it permissible for a woman or girl to wear trousers inside her home? Or will she be classed a copying men and therefore being cursed by Allah?

Women wearing trousers in the home

Question:

What is the ruling on a woman wearing a very wide pair of trousers solely inside of her home?

Answer:

I do not know of any harm in this, and as long as no stranger sees her like this ? then there is no harm with this Inshaa Allaah.
