Asalaamu Ailaykum,

Where can I find the hadith about the khawaarij being the dogs of the hell fire, and the Rasulullaah (Salallaahu alayhi wa Salam) saying he would fight them etc.

Barakallaahu Feekum,

Daud Abdullaah

The hadeeth:

"They are the dogs of the hell fire" Is collected by Imaam Ahmad in his Musnad from the hadeeth of Abdullah ibn abee Awfaa (3/355) see Fathur-Rabbaanee (23/46, and 153), and Ibn Maajah in the intro of his Sunan (no. 173), it has been authenticated by Al-Muhaddith Al-Albaanee in Saheeh Sunan ibn Maajah (no. 143)

As for the hadeeth: "If I met them I would kill them, the killing of 'Aad." This is collected by Imaam Al-Bukhaaree (no. 3344, and 7432),and Muslim (no. 1064, and 2578), An-Nisaaee (no. 4101), Abu Dawud in his Sunan (no. 4764) and Imaam Ahmad in his Musnad from the hadeeth of Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudree (3/68, and 73)There is another wording that mentions "the killing of Thamud." Collected by Al-Bukhaaree (no. 4351), and Muslim (no. 1064)

As for the hadeeth: "Glad tidings for those who kill them or are killed by them." This is collected by Abu Dawud in his Sunan (no. 4765), and Imaam Ahmad in his Musnad (1/151), (2/84), and (4/357, and 382), and Abu Dawud (no. 4765), Al-Muhaddith Al-Albaanee grades it Hasan in Thilaalil-Jannah (no. 906)
