All praise be to Allah, prayers and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. To proceed:
Daarul Athaar Gambia writes to notify the users of this forum and other than them that walhamdulillah, we are currently in a bid to establish a da`wah center. Due to the restriction of inadequate finances, we have been somewhat hindered in attaining the masjid that we had originally aimed for. This would take time to achieve.
At this present moment however, there is a dire need for a center. All our lessons and programs are held at the brother Abul Laith Yahyaa?s house in Kanifing. The space is limited and the location is somewhat ?hidden?.
We have seen an ideal place for such a center. The building is at the top floor of a storey building by the highway. This gives us the exposure that we want since it is by a well known road as well as the benefits of accessibility and space.
The rent is 30,000 Dalasis per annum. This converts to roughly £700 [£1= D44.80] and $1,000 US [$1= D27.80]. The owner has stipulated that a full year?s payment in advance is needed before moving in. This is very reasonable considering that the building is newly constructed, the location as well as the size of the premises.
The dimension of the building in totality is: 15m by 7m. There are 3 rooms to it, a kitchen along with two bathrooms. The hall measures 7m by 4m.
At the moment we wish to place a deposit in order to secure our bid because the amount of money we have in our account does not cover the overall cost. If we do not do this, we could lose out on a very good opportunity as the place is highly in demand. With the deposit in, the owner is willing to hold the place for us for a fixed period of time, for example: one month. Once this time elapses and we have not completed the payment, we lose the deposit and any one else who pays the full sum gets the place.
So the plea that we signal out to every Salafee, to every Muwahhid, to every Muhaqqiq who cares about this blessed da`wah to tawheed is that you support us once we get our deposit in, which we aim to do by the end of the coming week by the will of Allah, so that we don t lose the place or our money.
Once we get the place, we appeal for books and tapes for the library we aim to have within the premises. It is very disheartening to see the books of Abul `Alaa Mawdoodee, Sayyid Qutb and Jamaa`tu Tabliigh spread amongst the youth. How can such a youth ignorant of the books of the Imaams of guidance from the Salaf ever attain goodness?
The classes that are currently taught at the house of Abul Laith Yahyaa will be continued at the center inshaallah. At this moment, the classes are: Sharh Thalaathatul Usool, Qur?aan and Tajweed. We would possibly increase the number of classes being offered, talks, as well as giving the people the opportunity of catching the beneficial Paltalk lessons.

Also we like to urge thos people who have raised money on our behalf or those who have intened to make a donation to tranfer to money to our account or to send it to teh address below ASAP!!!!!!!
We need to have the £700 deposit available as soon as possible having having succesfully reached an agreement with teh landlord.
Secondly: To those noble brothers and sisters may Allah reward them who gave us their email addresses in order to recieve and news about donating we apologise for not keeping in contcat due to the following reasons:
1. A technical roblem with our yahoo egropu messages we sent when we first set the group up had two week delays. Those who recieved 4 identical messages will testify to this technical anomaly. Subsequently we have sent two other messages that have had indefinite delays because we sent thme at least 2 months ago!! Weare therefore loooking to employ a different methods or fix this problem
2. we have been particularly busy between with other activities
In any case we apologise for any convenience and encourage you to make teh donation via the methods listed below until we can provide alternative arrangements.
