As-Salaamu' Alaikum Jami'aan,

We are without dhaleel for this issue. A brother asked the question, why does camel meat break wuduu when eaten?

Akhee,is your question about the daleel for eating camel meat breaking wudhoo' or not, or about the reason for it breaking wudhoo'?

Narrated al-Baraa ibn Aazib �� that the messenger of Allaah �� said;

Make Wudoo from camel meat and do not make wudoo from the meat of the Ghanam. Saheeh. reported by Daawud, Tirmadhi and ibn Maajah.

and from Jaabir ibn samrah �� that a man asked the prophet �� Do I have to make wudoo from the meat of the ghanam (sheep\goats)? he said; if you wish you can make wudoo and if you wish you don't have to make wudoo. he said; Do I make wudoo from camel meat? he said; Yes make wudoo from camel meat. Saheeh. reported by Muslim.
