Shaikh Faalih al-Harbee's recent statements on the group from Jordan

...No... No... they are to be refuted, and now they are exposing themselves more, that they are insulting Ahl us-Sunnah, and they are opposing the manhaj. They have begun to reveal themselves more than they did before. So it is desireable that they are refuted and (matters) made clear. They are to be considered as if there is something in their manhaj...

Assalaamu 'Alaykum,

In this post who does "مشايخ أهل الأردن" refer to; i.e. which individuals by name?

Jazak Allaahu Khair.

Assalaamu Alaikum,

It refers to Alee Hasan and Saleem al-Hilaalee. The questioner is asking about a previous statement of the Shaikh where he clarified that he did not warn from their books and that benefit can be taken from certain books or cassettes if there are no errors in them. Some people took this to mean that we cannot speak about their errors in their manhaj and claimed that goodness is still found with them, using a form of muwaazanah. They used it to call others to these students from Jordan, something which will only lead people to confusion. So the Shaikh has made clear their condition as it is now. It is worse than before.

Assalaamu Alaykum,

Shaykh Ahmad an-Najmee warns from listening to cassettes of al-Qoosee. It follows that attending in person to listen to al-Qoosee is also warned against.

Saleem al-Hilaalee says that Sahab and AnaSalafi.Net are run by Ahl ul-Bidah wal-Ahwaa wad-Dalaalah who are only wearing the gown of Salafiyyah.

We seek refuge in Allaah!

May Allaah preserve us from this evil! If the above is verified to be true, then praise is to Allaah who has made this group make their affairs more clear. Accuse the scholars of the Sunnah with Haddaadiyyah and yet guilty of it yourself. Accusing innocent people who run the best Salafi Arabic websites with being from Ahl ul-Bidah and Dalaalah and Ahl ul-Ahwaa (is this not Haddaadiyyah?), and yet accusing those innocent ones of being Haddaadiyyah at the same time(?!).

The Atbaa' of Abul-Hasan al-Maribee in Luton have organised their dawrah for this summer. They have provided all the information on their website in the past week. They are inviting those whom the scholars have spoken of concerning opposition to the manhaj. Here are some details of this dawrah:

The course runs for six days and you can receive certificates of merit:
quote:
There will be a six day course offered in the summer of each of the four years inshallah, which will represent different levels. Anyone that passes the test to this course will receive a certificate of merit from the Shayukh. Successive levels will cover the same four subjects but they will be more advanced and cover different areas of the subject.

MASJID GHURABAA - LUTON will be running Level 2 this summer August 25th - August 30th 2003

You become a "graduate" after only 24 days study and you get a certificate and a tazkiyah:
quote:
Once the four-year course is successfully completed, students will be considered as graduates of the Islamic Studies Course and will be awarded a certificate signed by each of the scholars. There are also many other "benefits" to having successfully completed the entire course.
quote:
The Taskiyah will only be given from the Shayukh if the student has successfully PASSED all four levels.
The aim behind these dawrahs is to establish an official body, a school which will market to potential da'ees (maybe 200 at a time) who want to pay fees, study their deen, and then be able to preach in confidence with a certificate and tazkiyah in their hand:
quote:
By establishing this course, Masjid Al Ghurabah together with, Masjid Ibnu Taymyiah hope to institute an official Islamic school. The objective of the course is to prepare students to have sufficient required knowledge to enable them to spread and carry the Da'wah in the lands they come from or other places where it is needed.
This tazkiyah will come from those who accuse the Scholars of Ahl us-Sunnah who stand against Bid'ah with labels of Haddaadiyyah, Muqallidah, Irhab-Fikree and Ghuluww, and as pointed out by the brother above, accuse the websites that some of the major scholars post their writings on (and considered as the best Salafi websites in Arabic without exception) as being run by the people of innovation and misguidance.

By way of these dawraat and whatever follows on from them the people are being given alternatives to the Major Scholars (some of whom are now readily available via Paltalk, with translations of their lessons):
quote:
As an alternative to travelling overseas, students will have the opportunity to meet, sit in classes and study under four respected and well-known shuyookh. It is very rare for these four shuyookh to get together for a course such as this in their own homelands, not to mention in many of the other lands of the Islamic world. So just getting them all together to teach one course is a blessing and a great advantage in itself.
Although it is not very rare that many of the major scholars actually do get together, often numerous times within the same year for the regular dawraat in the Arab lands.

Where your money goes:
quote:
Your payment for The Ibn Taymeeyyah Islamic Seminar will be spent on the following:

1. Expenditure costs for this Seminar.
2. To help pay off a portion of the outstanding debt of £40,000 for Markaz Al-Albani in Jordon.
3. To help pay off a portion of the outstanding debt of £82,000 for the the purchase of Masjid Ghurabaa.
This debt remains unchanged as of last year.

You can also do self-study distance learning, like you do with the Open University, however to take the exam you still have to pay course registration fees:
quote:
Those who are not able to attend the course in person can purchase the course tapes and books to study and take the tests given at later dates. However, he must pay the full registration fee before taking the test.
So even if you do distance learning, you will still receive your certificate and tazkiyah, if you pay the fees.

The final comment that can be made is:

Despite these continous attempts by the followers of al-Ma'ribee to take people away from the  major scholars by offering these certificates, tazkiyahs and graduations after only 24 days study over a period of 1460 days in return for money, from people identified with manhaj problems and attacks against Ahl ul-Ilm, it is possible for people in the West to travel to Saudi Arabia on Umrah visas and remain there for a month. If they go in the Summer period, they will be able to attend the dawraat that take place in Jeddah, and also attend the regular gatherings in Makkah and Madinah and see and sit with the Major Scholars of Ahl us-Sunnah. These people of knowledge do not have any debts, and they do not set up nor sit on the boards of Jam'iyaat so they will not have any reason to charge you substantial fees (that go beyond reasonable organisation costs or small margins to benefit dawah). Or any reason to put you on distance learning.  This might be a better alternative inshaa'allaah, even if it costs more. And if that is not possible, then Allaah has opened up the door to knowledge by way of Paltalk, where you can listen to regular lessons by the Scholars, many of which are translated into English. There are some really excellent lectures taking place now, some of which are translated into English (Live Salafi Duroos room).

Jazaakallaahu khayr Abu Hamza for pointing that out. Shaykh Faalih said
quote:
But because they have seen Abul-Hasan being exposed, and that they would soon be exposed, they were unable to continue, they therefore say: "We have retracted from supporting Abul-Hasan and from what we used to be upon, and now we are upon the Salafi Manhaj." So it is as if the Salafi Manhaj is just that you are not with Abul-Hasan; so if you are with Abul-Hasan after the affair has been clarified, then you are not upon the Salafi Manhaj; and if you are not with Abul-Hasan, then you are upon the Salafee Manhaj! This is not correct.

Rather, the one upon the Salafi Manhaj is the one who knows it, adheres to it, believes it, acts in accordance with it, and this is manifest in his behaviour and actions. This is the person who is upon the Salafi Manhaj.

From true repentance from the fitnah of Abul-Hasan and his manhaj and his followers is that you make your walaa and baraa clear as the daylight sun. Shaykh Faalih said:
quote:
So those brothers should realize that what happened with them indicates their lack of understanding of their Manhaj, and they followed the people of misguidance because of their lack of correct knowledge and insight. So now they should seek after correct knowledge and insight, and the true Manhaj, and they should become aware of it and adhere to it. But the way they are behaving at present is the behaviour of those who are still upon deviation, and upon corruption and shows that they do not in reality know the Salafi Manhaj, and do not know "al-walaa wal-baraa?" (necessary alliance and enmity) based upon that.
