I would like to ask one of the students of knowledge, du'aat or anyone who knows what the people of knowledge have said the following question:

I have read ahadeeth which state that performing Hajj and making hijrah are means for erasing all of one's sins.  If one is unable to perform Hajj and make Hijrah what other means are there for erasing ALL of one's sins?

sincere tawbah from one's sins with all its conditions...

and its even required along with one's hajj or hijrah, since a person's hajj would not be sufficient in being an expiation for some sins, so long as the conditions of tawbah are not fulfilled, like the thief for example, he can not just make hajj and keep the money he has stolen.  He must return it and that is a condition for his repentence, even if he is making hajj.

And about tawbah, Allaah says:

"O you who believe!  Repent to Allaah with sincere repentence!  Allaah will expiate your sins for you and put you in gardens with rivers flowing underneath them..."

[Tahreem:8]

And in the hadeeth from the 40 of an-Nawawee (that means): "...Seek My Forgiveness and I will forgive you..."

And Allaah knows best.

Some ayaat from The Book of Allaah

Except those who repent and believe (in Islâmic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, for those, Allâh will change their sins into good deeds, and Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Al-Furqan 25:70).

O you who believe! If you obey and fear Allâh, He will grant you Furqân a criterion [(to judge between right and wrong), or (Makhraj, i.e. making a way for you to get out from every difficulty)], and will expiate for you your sins, and forgive you, and Allâh is the Owner of the Great Bounty. (Al-Anfal 8:29).

He will direct you to do righteous good deeds and will forgive you your sins. And whosoever obeys Allâh and His Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) he has indeed achieved a great achievement (i.e. he will be saved from the Hell-fire and made to enter Paradise). (Al-Ahzab 33:71).

Also some ahaadeeth from The Noble Messeneger

Narrated abu Huraira, Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever establishes the prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards (not to show off) then all his past sins will be forgiven."

Narrated abu Huraira, Allah's Apostle said: "Whoever establishes prayers during the nights of Ramadan faithfully out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah's rewards (not for showing off), all his past sins will be forgiven."

Narrated abu Huraira,Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain Allah's rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven."

I came across so many ahaadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم  pertaining to this subject!, I have sufficed with some of them regarding Ramadhaan. It would be beneficial if we could list more inshaa Allaah!
