Asalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wabrakatuhu, How long should a child be breastfed for a mother who is able to ?
in the ayah below " The mothers shall give suck to their children for two whole years(that is) for those (parents)who desire to complete the term of suckling,but the father of the child shall bear the cost of the mother's food and clothing on a reasonable basis." Is there a maximum term of two years and is it the same or different for a girl/ boy child ? Jazak Allahu khairun for an answer this question.
