wa alaikumus salaam wa rahmantullah wa bakatu. Alhamdulilah. While I do agree with most of what you said in regards to needing some material on riba making it clear to english speakers. However, and I don't wish to offend you in any way ahkhee but have husnu thun of your brother a bit before putting him out to dry a bit. How do you know this talib is even knowledgeable about riba in it's detailed intricate descriptions. Because these institutes like "Guidance" who say they are halaal but when looked closer at are in reality not cloak themselves in a way the common muslim may see it to just as they say 'halal'. So assume that first, secondly maybe this talib had somewhere to go (an appointment to keep) etc. So this part of you post i didn't agree with. barakullahu feek.

The brother's post makes some good points, and it's true that we need more material on these issues in the English language by the Salafi speakers/daees here in the west, in books or tapes, through the internet etc. inshaAllah.
