As-Salaamu' Alaikum wa'Rahmatu'Llahi wa berta khatu.

We are in need of a dhaleel for one who is making salaat alone, the need for him to call the 'eqamah (make the call to prayer), what is stated in the authentic sunnah. Also if he does not call the 'eqamah if he is incorrect or in dhalaalah. Bark Allahu'feekum jami'aan.

Baarak-Allaahu Feekum - wa sal-Allaahu wa-sallam 'alaa Nabiyyinaa Muhammad,
was-Salaam 'alaykum wa-Rahmatullaahe wa-Barakaatuh.

Assalaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh

Shaykh Fawzee Al Athari hafidhahullah has a tape called Fiqh of Adhan (3 parts) which is available in www.salafibookstore.com and translated by brother Abu Talha Dawood ibn Ronald Burbank hafidhahullah.

and in there shaykh said that if there is a masjid in a city when one lives in then if person prayers at home for example alone then it is not obligatory upon him to make adhan as well as iqamah. But if there is no masjid in a land u live in then it is obligatory for u to make adhan as well as iqamah. Also visit http://www.troid.org/audio/ibaadah/advice/advicetothemuslims/toronto.htm and listen to Shaykh 'Ubayd hafidhahullah . He was asked:
The salaat which is done without the iqaamatus-salaat (call to prayer) accidentally, is it valid?

Shaykh Replied: salah is sahih.

and Allaah knows best. if u get those tapes by Shaykh Fawzee it would be good, he goes in detail on the issue of adhan and iqamah.

wa'alaikum assalaam wa rahmatullah.

al-Hamdu-Lillaahi Rabbil-'Aalameen was-Salaatu was-Salaamu 'alaa Ashrafil-Anbiyaa'e wal-Mursaleen, wa ba'd:

Assalam-o-Alayqum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatahu

Imaam al-Albaanee was asked the following:

Question: bIs the Adhaan obligatory upon everyone that prays, even the person that prays alone in a masjid that has a (regular) employed Imaam in it?

Answer: Yes, for it is established in some paths of narration of the hadeeth of the man who prayed badly that the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam , said to him: "Make the Adhaan, then the Iqaamah."

So this is a command from him, sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam. And from the principles of 'Ilm-ul-Usool (The Science of Principles) is that the rule with regard to a command is that it indicates an obligation, so long as there is nothing reported that would annul this (obligation). And there does not occur the likes of this annulling report here. [Al-Asaalah, Issue #5]

Wasallaam-o-Alayqum wa Rahmtullaah
