?The marriage contract made between the sister and her husband (who was a kaafir at the time) is null and void. If she decides to continue to live with him, then it [the marriage contract] has to be renewed. The action that she has done is a great sin, and is unallowable. She made a mistake and must seek repentance. It?s not allowed for a Muslim woman to marry a man from the people of the book. Rather, it is allowed for a Muslim man to marry a woman from the people of the book.? Answer given by Shaykh Ahmad al-Waasaabee, Imaam of Shaykh Muqbil?s Masjid (Hafitha-hullaah) Translated by Shaakir al-Kanadee Telelink from Toronto, Canada to Damaaj, Yemen 10 Safar 1427 | 11 March 2006 Abul-Haarith Bilaal al-Kanadie
