I want to find out if it is permissable for someone to have a relative overseas slaughter for his aqeeqah and feed the poor muslims in that area with the meat. Abu Najiyyah Jamal Muhammad Ayah Islamic Center "Every soul shall taste death."

Assalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullah Akhee, I was at the lesson, after Maghrib salaaat of Shaikh Wasiullah( Hafidhullah) in Mecca on Friday 25th May. The same question was posed to him. he replied, " it is not allowed to slaughter the meat in another country it has to be done in the country where the child was born" Walaykum Assalam Abu Dawood Humza.
