Once a person has written out his/her wasiyyah(will), where and with whom should it generally be kept?  Should there be made multiple copies which will be kept with different individuals?

Also, bare in mind that this question is from someone who lives in the land of kufr (may Allaah make it easy to make hijrah, aameen) and who has many family members who are kufaar.  Should the kaffir relative(s) be trusted to execute the wasiyyah of a Muslim?

wa 'alaykumus-salaam,

The hadeeth of Ibn 'Umar, as found in al-Bukhaaree and Muslim and others, shows that the Sunnah is to keep the wasiyyah with you:

quote:
quote:
quote:
quote:

quote:
"It is not right for any Muslim man who has something he wants to make as a wasiyyah that he goes two nights without having his written wasiyyah with him."

This is the wording of Imaam Muslim.

Jazak Allaahu Khair Musa, I didn't realize that the answer was contained in the very same hadeeth that instructs us to prepare the wasiyyah.
