Is Abandoning al-Halabee Abandoning the Manhaj and Legacy of al-Albaanee?
In the Name of Allaah, Ar-Rahmaan, Ar-Raheem...
An excerpt from the recent series 'Points of Explanation from Sharhus-Sunnah of Imaam al-Barbahaaree' narrated by Dawud Adib during his visit to Toronto, Canada. The supports of al-Halabee claim that abandoning 'Alee Hasan al-Halabee is to abandond the late Shaykh and Scholar, Imaam Muhammad Naasird-Deen al-Albaanee. With no outlets to respond to the concise refutations against al-Halabee, they turn to rhetoric like this to appeal to the hearts of Ahlus-Sunnah. Is this claim true? Is this abandoning Imaam al-Albaanee's work, his manhaj, his efforts? Is Halabee today a reflection of al-Albaane? They also say that Shaykh Rabee' was too quick or too severe in his dealings with al-Halabee but how did Shaykh Rabee' handle al-Halabee and those like him during the last few decades? Listen and understand insha'Allaah.
