As-Salamu Alaikoum wa Rahmatullah This Ramadhan I have recieved for the third time an e-mail titled "The 3 best hours of Ramadhan". I would like anybody to help me to verify part of the content: "The Prophet Mohammed (salalahu aleyhi wassalam) said the ones whoever prays Al Fajr in Jamaaa and set after prayer to read Athkar until sunrise, then he prays two rakateen its rewarded as accomplising Hajj and Omra" "The Prophet Mohammed (salalahu aleyhi wassalam) said that all our prayers are granted in the last hour before Iftar" (Some individuals such as Amr Khaled encourage Muslims to perform rakaas at this time) Please help me to verify this Jazalallahu khairan

As-salaamu alaykum. In reference to your first concern then yes it is an authentic hadeeth collected by Imam At-Tirmithi in his Jam'i # 589. Imam At-Tirmithi graded this hadeeth as being Hasan. As-Shaykh Al-Albani(may Allah have mercy on him)also held this hadeeth as being hasan. Anas ibn Malik(may Allah be pleased with him)said that Muhammad(peace and blessings be upon him) said, مَنْ صَلَّى الْغَدَاةَ فِى جَمَاعَةٍ ثُمَّ قَعَدَ يَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ كَانَتْ لَهُ كَأَجْرِ حَجَّةٍ وَعُمْرَةٍ ý TextWho ever prays Fajr in congregation and sits and remembers Allah until sunrise then stands and prays two rakah earns the reward equivalent to Hajj and Umrah. In reference to your second point As-Shaykh Yahya ibn Ali Al-Hajooree(may Allah preserve him )said in one of his Q/A sessions: 3. Question : What is the condition of the hadeeth ذَهَبَ الظَّمأُ ، وابْتَلَّتِ العُرُوقُ ، وثَبَتَ الأجرُ إِن شاءَ اللهُ The thirst is gone and the veins are moist. If Allah wills the reward is certain. And are there any legislated supplications made at the time of breakfast? Answer: This hadeeth is unauthentic. The person fasting supplication is answered, whether he makes dua at breakfast or before. And your Lord said: "Invoke Me, [i.e. believe in My Oneness (Islýmic Monotheism)] (and ask Me for anything) I will respond to your (invocation). Verily! Those who scorn My worship [i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not believe in My Oneness, (Islýmic Monotheism)] they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!" [ Ghafir 60 ] The more a person is in need of assistance and draws near to Allah the closer he is to having is supplication answered. The hadeeth you mentioned is weak because of Marwan ibn Salim Al-Muqfaýā. He is unknown TextText

Asalamualaikum, Some scholars consider this hadith weak, but this hadith is actually authenticated by Sh Al-Albaani rahimuhullah, and the dua mentioned in Hisnul Muslim is authentic. Wa Allah knows best.
