Abul-Hasan as-Sulaymaanee Was From Jamaa`at ut-Tawaqquf wat-Tabayyun and Married the Daughter of `Abdul-Fattaah Ismaa`eel
This information has been known for some time now, and it keeps recurring every now and then, and it deserves its own mention here, for the record.
`Abdul-Fattaah Ismaa`eel was one of the two other imprisoned men who were assassinated along with Sayyid Qutb on the same day. Abul-Hasan al-Ikhwaanee married his daughter. And `Abdul-Fattaah was one of big leaders of al-Ikhwaan al-Mufliseen.
And as is reported from some of the Salaf, "the youth is upon his first nurturing (nash'ah)". It is now apparent that the man never truly left Ikhwaaniyyah, but entered the ranks of the Salafiyyeen. And when he saw his opportunity, he attempted to bring in the Ikhwaanee manhaj into their ranks.
It comes as no surprise that he attempted to defend Sayyid Qutb, (his father in-law's close friend), using the arguments of `Abdullaah `Azzaam who was the first to use the idea of al-mujmal wal-mufassal to defend Sayyid Qutb's statements on al-wahdat ul-wujood.
