Important Lessons From the Issue Surrounding the Book "Rifqan Ahl us-Sunnah..." - Part 1

In light of the recent clarifications from the Shaykhs Rabee', Ubayd, Ahmad an-Najmee and Saalih as-Suhaymee we can explain the following historical realities stretching from the beginings of this fitnah to the release of Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin's book - to further expose the Ahl ul-Ahwaa, those that abandoned the Sabeel ul-Mumayyi'een only to end up upon the Siraat ul-Mumayyi'een, and those who desire nothing except Ahya ul-Baatil, and those who do not spread anything but Clear Misguidance, all in the name of Nasihah,  the Call to Islam and the fraudulent flag of Salafiyyah Saheehah - those who entered into this matter, unbeknown to themselves, as mere scavengers upon the remnants of the Ikhwaanee B-Strain schools of thought who spread fitan upon the Ummah with lies, hypocrisy, pretence of piety, and double-edged slogans of moderation, justice and clemency.

HISTORY

ONE: The former Takfeeree, Abul-Hasan al-Ma'ribee emigrated to Yemen, fleeing on his heels from the fitan unleashed by the Jamaa'aat he was with in Egypt in the early 80s. In Yemen, he got put to trial by the wealth from the Jamaa'aat. Over the years he never truly broke off company from the Hizbiyyeen and Qutbiyyeen such as Salman al-Awdah, al-Qarnee, Ar'oor, and kept close company with known Takfeerees such as at-Tayyaar and al-Maghraawee.

TWO: These surrounding factors, and his particular background led him to author principles aimed at defending the Jamaa'aat and the figureheads of these Jamaa'aat, both old and contemporary. Such principles as "the vast, broad manhaj for all the Ummah" (i.e. all the Innovators), "we correct, but do not destroy" (i.e. we do not warn from the deviants in the manner that the Salaf did), "the mujmal and mufassal" (aimed at defending the outright baatil by the mufassal), "the khabar ul-waahid amounts to dhann" (laying down the foundations for the casting of doubts upon correctly transmitted information as it relates to warnings of the Scholars against the Innovators), "we do not make taqleed of anybody" (extending the previous principle further, by making every common person a judge to himself in deep and difficult matters, and thus facilitating the rejection of the rulings of the firmly grounded scholars, and challenging them and facing up to them with boldness and arrogance). All of this collectively, was what can be labelled as 3GT (3rd Generation Tamyee').

The first (1GT) was the Mother of all Contemporary Tamyee', "let us cooperate in that which we agree and pardon each other in that which we disagree" of Hassan al-Bannaa in the 1930s.

The second (2GT) was the "muwaazanah and taking the good and leaving the bad, and being just"  by the likes of al-Awdah and Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul-Khaaliq, in the 1990s.

The third (3GT) was what was raised by Abul-Hasan al-Ma'ribee of his collection of sophisticated principles aimed at defending Ahl ul-Bid'ah and breaking down the barriers between Sunnah and its people and Bid'ah and its people. By way of these principles he defended the Jamaa'aat such as Ikhwaan and Tableegh, and the likes of Sayyid Qutb, and some of the Jam'iyyaat of Hizbiyyah.

The above three levels were a representation of aspects of the expedition of the Ikhwaanees and their manhaj upon Salafiyyah and its people.

The import and direction of the new and sophisticated 3rd Generation Tamyee' whose flag was raised by Abul-Hasan was the same as its previous two predecessors, with the exception that it was more sophisticated. 1GT abolished Jarh of the Innovators altogether, since we "pardon each other in that which we disagree", hence no Jarh to begin with. 2GT [after the Salafee scholars made it clear that we do make Jarh of the Innovators and do not pardon them and do not turn a blind eye to them] was aimed at limiting the effects of the Jarh made upon the Innovators, in the name of "muwaazanah and adl" (justice). However, 3GT,  - [after the Scholars showed the falsehood of muwaazanah and explained that making jarh alone upon the deviants and innovators, and not mentioning any good aspects was not dhulm (oppression) but the actual manhaj of the Salaf] - was aimed putting as many barriers and obstructions between the Jarh by Scholars upon the Innovators and Jamaa'aat and between the common folk so that the acceptance of this naseehah and warning made by the Scholars has little effect.

In other words after it become established that we do make Jarh and not remain silent (refutation of 1GT) and that we need not mention the good aspects of the deviants and Innovators when disparaging them (refutation of 2GT), then the Ikhwaanees, at their forefront, al-Ma'ribee, gave birth to 3GT. This is how the evolution of the collection of Ma'ribian principles that constitute 3GT should be looked at historically. (Do not forget the important rule, "by their roots ye shall know them").

Shaykh Rabee bin Haadee al-Madkhalee said in his latest refutation of al-Ma'ribee's so called "tankeel"
quote:
This war began with the expedition (ghazw) of al-Ikhwaan al-Muslimeen, and other than them into the Land of Tawheed, and all of the Arabian Peninsula, and it extends and drops and raises for it many banners, until the time of the greatest revolution came, the revolution of Abul-Hasan al-Misree al-Ma'ribee, and so he (Abul-Hasan) fought desperately (in this revolution of his) and they all (the Ikhwaan) fought desperately with him, perhaps that this (revolution) might be the one that brings the decisive blow upon the Salafee manhaj. However, and by the praise of Allaah, they only yeilded an attrocious defeat (for themselves), after their corrupt principles were demolished, and their stagnant weapons were wrecked, by Allaah's aid and His help for this manhaj...." (Rabee.Net)
Shaykh Rabee' bin Haadee al-Madkhalee said,
quote:
"So Allaah mobilised Ahl us-Sunnah and granted them success in repelling the falsehoods of these people and exposing their people, all as sincere advice (in calling) to Allaah, His Messenger and the Believers. And amongst the tribulations whose spear has been directed towards Ahl us-Sunnah specifically, the people of the Salafee manhaj, in order to slaughter them, is the tribulation of Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul-Khaaliq, the tribulation of Mahmood al-Haddaad, the tribulation of Adnaan Ar?oor, the tribulation of Hasan al-Maalikee, and the tribulation of Abul-Hasan al-Misree al-Ma?ribee, and this (latter one) is the most severe one of them all, and the greatest one with regards to deception and wide claims. And amongst these wide and false claims is the claim of "ta?seel"  (laying down foundations, principles). And what will tell you exactly what this "ta?seel" is? It is nothing but throwing destructive, corrupt principles (usool) that destroy the principles of Ahl us-Sunnah wal-Jamaa?ah and the manhaj of the Salaf us-Saalih. Especially the principles (from the Sunnah) that stand against innovations and the various (types of) misguidance." (From "Haqeeqat ul-Manhaj il-Waasi' 'Inda Abil-Hasan - The Reality of the "Vast Manhaj" [Intended] In the View of Abul-Hasan", from Rabee.Net).

THREE: In addition to that, al-Ma'ribee also had some major calamities, such as revilement of Moosaa (alayhis-salaam) and revilement of the Sahaabah and other mistakes in Usool - and he made a hypocritical tawbah from these mistakes - as evidenced by recorded and documented and preserved statements from him. Further, he taught the well known books of the Takfeerees such as Milestones, even at the time of ascribing to Salafiyyah. And this is narrated truthfully by some of the people of knowledge in Yemen.

FOUR: All of the above is fairly clear to any Salafee, however what confused the matter was that just like the forerunners of al-Ma'ribee (Safar and Salman etc.) deceived the Salafees by attachment to the Salafee aqeedah (whilst upon false manaahij), by outward attachment to the Major Scholars (for specific reasons tied to the hizbiyyah these people were upon), and making defence of aspects of the aqeedah, then in a similar manner, al-Ma'ribee moved limitedly within the circles of the Salafee Scholars, authored on certain subjects, and gained some recognition before he came out openly with his covert Ikhwaanee manhaj. This threw many people into confusion, and led them to believe the impossibility of the deviance of the likes of such a man - forgetting that in the time of the Taabi'een and thereafter, greater and more upright, pious, noble true people of knowledge (before this particular ignoble degenerate of the late twentieth century) fell into great misguidance after guidance, and were scorned and rebuked by the Salaf, such as al-Karaabeesee, and al-Muhaasibee and numerous others, without any remorse or sympathy.

To be continued...

Important Lessons From the Issue Surrounding the Book "Rifqan Ahl us-Sunnah..." - Part 2

THE PERIOD OF ADVICE AND PATIENCE AND UNCOVERING OF THE REALITIES

ONE: There was a period of patience and advice from the time that Shaykh Rabee' first noticed the unbefitting positions of al-Ma'ribee in numerous matters, the Shaykh advised him in private around six years ago on certain matters in that time. Then around two years ago some of the youth who had noticed some of the affairs of al-Ma'ribee, especially regarding his revilement upon the Sahaabah, and his defence of Sayyid Qutb and other affairs, travelled to him, to advise him, with all good intentions. This matter was not to the liking of al-Ma'ribee, and the affair was then raised to the other Mashaayikh of Yemen, who themselves had noted certain affairs arising from al-Ma'ribee (which they would explain in the middle of 2002 when the fitnah reached its peak). A recorded sitting took place (5 cassettes) after the middle of 2001 in which a group of the Shaykhs of Yemen sat with al-Ma'ribee and advised him on certain matters. From that cassette it was clear that al-Ma'ribee is a vain disputer and one who played games. Issues raised included his defence of Qutb by way of al-muwaazanah, his revilements upon the Sahaabah, what he did in the UK with the contract of hizbiyyah he set up. [After listening to those cassettes as early as mid to late 2001 we already had a clear position on this individual]. Matters continued like this, through the early part of 2002, when the attempts of the Shaykhs of Yemen came to no avail, and the arrogance of al-Ma'ribee showed through. By this time some of the Shaykhs had already made clear their position on al-Ma'ribee due to their direct interaction with him and the failure in their attempts to advise and correct him.

TWO: Al-Ma'ribee retorted to these efforts by the  youth who came to him and the Shaykhs of Yemen by unleashing his vocabulary of insults against them (some of them being the same words he used upon the Sahaabah), describing them as ghuthaa'iyyah, araadhil, aqzaam, and a whole host of other insults. This degenerate was the first to start insulting and name-calling (making his debut by beginning with the Sahaabah, and ending with the Salafees of today), and he unleashed the terms "muqallidah" and "haddaadiyyah" as insults upon Ahl us-Sunnah. Please take note of this as this is highly relevant to what Shaykh Rabee has pointed out about these people, that in reality they are the ones being referred to by Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin's book, as they are the ones who began these revilements and insults.

THREE: When something of this occurred, the matter was raised to Shaykh Rabee' who began to give gentle pieces of advice to Abul-Hasan. This can be seen by everybody in the first two or three articles Shaykh Rabee' put out, which were soft, gentle, mild and inviting Abul-Hasan to that which is best. This was despite the Shaykhs knowledge, that Abul-Hasan's goal all along was to attack the manhaj of Shaykh Rabee' by way of his newly authored manhaj and to try and undermine him. However, the man increased in fitnah and wallowed in his misguidance and did not respond positively. This was the time when Shaykh Faalih said that if this man does not repent put him alongside Adnan Ar'oor. And in April 2002 Shaykh Rabee' asked Abul-Hasan to repent and recant for taking the honour of the Salafees who went to advise him by calling them ghuthaa'iyyah, araadhil, asaaghir. Then in May Shaykh Rabee asked al-Ma'ribee to prove his name-calling and allegations upon the Salafees with "Haddaadiyyah". It was also in May when Shaykh an-Najmee made tabdee' of al-Ma'ribee and Shaykh al-Bannaa advised al-Ma'ribee to fear Allaah. Then after two months of patience with advice, Shaykh Rabee came out a bit more strongly, in support of the Shaykhs of Yemen and indicated that they are correct in their dispute with al-Ma'ribee. The Shaykh also wrote about the crime of Abul-Hasan upon the usool of the Salafee manhaj. In return, the Innovator did nothing but pour insults upon Shaykh Rabee. This led Shaykh Faalih al-Harbee to write a defence of Shaykh Rabee (May 2002). Shaykh al-Wasaabee also writes open advice to al-Ma'ribee listing 20 or more of his errors. And Shaykh Yahya al-Hajurree does a cassette explaining the background and reality of al-Ma'ribee and his fitnah he brought to Yemen. Then, when al-Ma'ribee does not repend and kindles the fitnah, Shaykh Rabee' begins to refute each of the false usool of al-Ma'ribee. In June 2002 Shaykh Rabee writes on the principle of al-mujmal and mufassal, Shaykh al-Wasabee reminds and cautions al-Ma'ribee again in an open piece of written advice, in July, the Shaykh so Yemen collectively call for the boycotting of al-Ma'ribee in a signed declaration, signed by six Shaykhs. In the same month Shaykh an-Najmee supported this call for hajr against al-Ma'ribee. Also in this month Shaykh Rabee, in his house refers to the new form of Irjaa' towards the Innovators coming from the direction of al-Ma'ribee and those upon his way. Shaykh Fawzee al-Atharee also spoke in this month about the false tawbahs of al-Maghraawee, Ar'oor and al-Ma'ribee. It was also in this month (July 2002) that Shaykh Ubayd issues two statements in which he supports Shaykh Rabee' and his criticisms of al-Ma'ribee, indicating that they are all correct. It was in this month that the sittings of the Shaykhs of Madinah with al-Ma'ribee took place, at least 10 or so sittings, and al-Ma'ribee outwardly portrayed a recantation, seeing he was ambushed. This is in contrast to the behaviour he displayed when first informed of his mistakes a year ealier or more in Yemen. Meanwhile Shaykh Rabee destroyed the principle of "Tathabbut" of al-Ma'ribee in an article by him in the same month, and also speaks of the new band of claimants to Salafiyyah who have false principles disguised under beautiful slogans. In July 2002 also Shaykh an-Najmee warns from al-Ma'ribee and his followers, indicating that all of them are Ahl ul-Bida'.

In August Shaykh Rabee starts to refute al-Ma'ribees sophisticated falsehood in the issue of Khabar al-Ahad, the first of three parts. Shaykh Muhammad al-Bannaa also refutes al-Ma'ribee openly, listing his errors and mistakes and indicating that al-Ma'ribee desires fitnah, and prayed for his guidance or otherwise for his back to be broken.

In September came a great blow, when Shaykh Muhammad bin Haadee, one of the Shaykhs of Madinah who arbitrated in the affair of al-Ma'ribee blasted out against him on the issue of Khabar al-Ahad, indicating that the view arrived at by al-Ma'ribee (and the manner that he did) is the greatest of falsehoods. Also a cassette came to light in which Abul-Hasan entered Ikhwan Tableegh and the Jihaadees into Salafiyyah, this cassette was in 1996 (the same year that Shaykh al-Albaanee explained that Ikhwaan are not from Ahl us-Sunnah, also recorded on cassette). This led both Shaykh Muhammad bin Haadee to warn from al-Ma'ribee and ask him to openly repent. In the same  month Shaykh Ubayd issues his open warning from al-Ma'ribee after becoming aware of this cassette and listening to it, declaring him explicitly to be an Ikhwaanee, one who was planted amongst Ahl us-Sunnah in Yemen to split them up. In the same month Shaykh Rabee' exposes the "vast, broad manhaj" of Abul-Hasan, by writing a 30 page article in refutation of this manhaj to accommodate the Innovators.

In September and October some of the statements of al-Ma'ribee reviling the Sahaabah were read out to Shaykhs al-Abbaad and al-Fawzaan and they both declared them to be misguidance and revilement. This vindicated and justified the earlier criticisms and refutations upon al-Ma'ribee, which in the year that had preceded he refused to acknowledge this from those who advised them, and on account of which he labelled them as "Haddaadiyyah", and cursed and reviled them with the titles of "ghuthaaiyyah, araadhil, asaaghir" and what is like that. This was a great victory for Ahl us-Sunnah.

In October 2002 Shaykh Rabee demolished the Ar'oori principle of al-Ma'ribee, "we correct but do not destroy", writing a refutation of it.

By this time a general consensus had emerged amongst all those Shaykhs who had direct, first-hand interaction and involvement with al-Ma'ribee, and they are the Shaykhs of Yemen, the Shaykhs of Madinah who arbitrated in the case of al-Ma'ribee, Shaykh Rabee, Shaykh al-Bannaa. Also Shaykh an-Najmee, Shaykh Zaid al-Madkhalee and many others spoke concerning him, and they all came around 25 or more in number. The general consensus was that al-Ma'ribee was misguided, astray, and author of false principles and some of them made explicit tabdee' of both him and his followers. All of this was backed by detailed information, with evidences and clear proofs.

FOUR: It was also in this same six month period, that the language, insults and revilements of al-Ma'ribee were imported and regurgitated by his followers here in the West. "Juhhaal Extremists", "Ghullaat", "Haddaadiyyah", "Muqallidah, "Muhqibah", "Diseased Nawaabit" and much much more. This was in response to the fact the Salafees stood behind the evidences and behind the Scholars and spread their words and distributed them, much to the dislike of these people. And if the Salafees spoke about any of them, then it was after reference to the Scholars, thus the words against Abdul-Qadir al-Lutonee al-Ma'ribee, and Abu Usaamah adh-Dahabee as-Sulaymaanee. The Salafees, when they spoke against them, only did so after taking their affair to the scholars, and the Scholars gave the ruling that they be warned against and spoken of, and seeing that they defend innovation and its author, they are to be put alongside him. But as for those people, they did exactly what Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin al-Abbaad warned against - and they had no precedence from any Scholars in their insults, and warnings, neither from Shaykh al-Abbaad, nor Shaykh al-Fawzaan, rather, their only predecessor was Al-Ma'ribee al-Ikhwaanee, and now they are acting "pious" and "cute" and displaying their hypocrisy by claiming that Shaykh al-Abbaad's book is in defence of them and a victory for them, when in reality it is a conviction of them and their evil, which they initiated and began and unleashed. They are the ones who propagated these affairs, and they are guilty of them to the first degree, just take a look at their various forums, and you will see the Sabeel that they had just left, the Siraat that they then adopted, the Ahya of batil that they wallowed in, the Clear Misguidance that they spread, all in their vain attempts for the Call To Ikhwaan and Ikhwaaniyyah Saheehah disguised under the cloak of Nasihah.

For them to come out now, in the way that they have done, holding on like leeches to the book of Shaykh al-Abbaad, when deep inside their own souls they know full well their own crimes, is hypocrisy indeed. At least the Salafees are open and frank, and truthful to what they believe and profess and the manhaj that they adhere to and judge by. But as for these people, then deceit and pretence forms the base of their activity. And this the greatest of what has come to light from how they behave now.

More to come...

The Fitnah of Jarh and Tajreeh Against Ahl us-Sunnah: Lessons from "Rifqan Ahl us-Sunnah..."
Part 1

Abul-Hasan al-Misree says in the cassette series "I'laan an-Nakeer Alaa Manhaj ash-Shaykh Rabee' fit-Takfeer" (Announcement of the Rejection Against the Manhaj of Shaykh Rabee in Takfeer): [Note: Just like ash-Shayijee accused Shaykh Rabee' of Takfeer, after the Shaykh exposed the manhaj of Turaath and Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul-Khaaliq, Abul-Hasan al-Misree has followed the exact same pattern. These cassettes are full of lies and slanders and mockery (as you will see), and this was all in response to Shaykh Rabee's patience upon this man for many years, giving of secret private advice, showing gentleness and lenience with him, forbidding people to speak about him initially, giving him every chance to repent and recant and return. This is how this man responded]:

Abul-Hasan al-Misree:

1. "Who said Shaykh Rabee' is the Imaam of al-Jarh wat-Ta'deel - may Allaah forgive the one who said it - rather he is the Imaam of al-Jarh wat-Ta'teel, I say it with a Taa, not a Daal".
من قال أن الشيخ ربيع إمام الجرح والتعديل -غفر الله لمن قالها- إنما هو إمام الجرح والتعطيل أقولها بالطاء لا بالدال

2. "Shaykh Rabee' is a trickster (i.e. a cheater, fraudster) so beware, O seeker of knowledge, from this cheating, fraud".
الشيـخ ربيع مراوغ فأحذر يا طالب العلم من هذه المراوغة

3. "The manner of Shaykh Rabee is being scornful upon the people".
أسلوب الشيخ ربيع هو الاستهتار بالناس

4. "Indeed, the one who speaks with the saying of Shaykh Rabee' is a muta'assib, muqallid, mutamaawit, in the tail ends of this man (i.e. Shaykh Rabee') whose state has become clear to us a great deal, we ask Allaah to save us from his evil and that he deals with him as he deserves."
إن الذي يقول بقول الشيخ ربيع متعصب ومقلد متماوت في أذيال هذا الرجل الذي قد بان لنا الكثير من أحواله ، نسأل الله أن يكفينا شره وأن يعامله بما يستحق

5. "Indeed, his blind-followers and tail ends are partisans (muta'assibah), rowdy common folk".
إن مقلديه وأذنابه متعصبة رعاع

6. "We know justice, and equity from Ahl us-Sunnah, as for Shaykh Rabee', he is in one valley, and justice and equity are in another valley".
نعرف من أهل السنَّة العدل والإنصاف ، أما الشيخ ربيع في واد والعدل والإنصاف في واد آخر

7. "And since when did Shaykh Rabee' wait for the Scholars, and when did he restrict himself by the speech of the Scholars and not surpass what the Scholars say. Either Shaykh Rabee' has made the scholars as a barricade and trench which he shields himself with in order throw this vile spear of his upon the Muslims"

8. "O Shaykh Rabee' we do not want mercy from you, we want from you that you travel upon the manhaj of the Salaf"
يا شيخ ربيع لا نريد منك رحمة نريد منك أن تمشي على منهج السلف

9. "It is obligatory to defend a Muslim, even if he is an Innovator"
يجب الدفاع عن المسلم وإن كان مبتدعا

Taken from a compilation and extraction of all of his insults upon the Scholars, and posted upon Sahab.Net. File with complete details attached below.

The Fitnah of Jarh and Tajreeh Against Ahl us-Sunnah: Lessons from "Rifqan Ahl us-Sunnah..."
Part 2

Concerning the Scholars who supported Shaykh Rabee' in his replies and refutations upon him, and when these same scholars (of Yemen and Saudi) wrote to explain their clear stances towards his errors, al-Ma'ribee says about these Shaykhs (this is just a sample, there is much much more, we just simply don't have the time to translate it all):

1. "They have placed the truth beneath the feet of Shaykh Rabee"
وضعوا الحق تحت أقدام الشيخ ربيع

Cassette:  شبه فاسدة والرد عليها

2. "We found them to be a qawmiyy, jaahiliyy soul (a nationalistic soul of the days of ignorance)
وجدنا منهم نفسًا قوميًا جاهليًا

Cassette: Same as above

3. "In playing about, and erring, they are upon the way of the politicians"
هم على شكل السياسيين في التلاعب والمغالطة

Cassette: مهلا يا دعاة التقليد

4. "They have Irhaab Fikree (Intellectual Terrorism)"
عندهم إرهاب فكري

Cassette: As above

5. "They are traversing upon the path of the Hizbees"
إنهم يسيرون على طريقة الحزبيين

Cassette: As above

6. "Your manhaj is a deviated manhaj"
منهجكم منهج منحرف

Cassette: As above

9. "They are extremists" - he said this over 10 times on the 1st side of the first tape
إنهم غلاة

10. "If this is the state of the da'wah when its kibaar are at this level, then to Allaah we belong and to Him do we return" (He is speaking about the Kibaar who spoke against him and aided the truth that was with Shaykh Rabee)
إن الدعوة إذا كان كبارها على هذا المستوى فإنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون

Cassette: إقامة البرهان 1/1

11. "Indeed, they are ignorants regarding the Shar'ee knowledge, they are not proficient in the rules and the principles"
أنهم جهلة بالعلم الشرعي لا يحسنون الضوابط والقواعد

Cassette: مهلا يا دعاة التقليد 1/1

12. "They are not proficient in the rules of Ahl us-Sunnah and the principles of Ahl us-Sunnah in the topics of tadleel and tabdee' and in tafseeq, and in takfeer. Rather, we even wait in expectation of even more than that from them. We wait for them until their ignorance leads them takfeer, until they make takfeer of their opposers. And some of the sighaar have fallen into this, but also, you should not be surprised that the kibaar fall into it as well. [May Allaah smite this filthy, vile liar's tongue, for his blatant lies!!!]

13. When the Shaykhs of Yemen referred the matter to Shaykh Rabee', Abul-hasan al-Misree said, "This is Hizbiyyah in its most rotten/smelly form".
هذه هي الحزبية بأنتن صورها

Cassette: مهلا يا دعاة التقليد 1/2

14. "They resemble the Mutasawwifah, rather their actions are the actions of the Mutasawwifah" (referring here to the fact that some of the Shaykhs refer the matter to others regarding his fitnah).
شابهوا المتصوفة بل أفعالهم أفعال المتصوفة

Cassette: As above.

15. "They are not even capable of knowing taqleed, and if the definition of taqleed was requested from them, they would surely make taqleed in the definition of taqleed".
أنهم لا يستطيعون أن يعرفوا التقليد ، وإذا طلب منهم تعريف التقليد سيقلدون في تعريف التقليد

Cassette: As above.

The Fitnah of Jarh and Tajreeh Against Ahl us-Sunnah: Lessons from "Rifqan Ahl us-Sunnah..."
Part 3

Spreading Lies upon the Scholars and Upon the People

Abu Abdullaah al-Madanee said: Usaamah al-Umree said

Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem

All praise is due to Allaah, and prayers and peace upon His Messenger, to proceed: One of the brothers showed me today, Sunday 25/11/1423H, at 3:45pm, Asr time, what Abul-Hasan al-Misree, then al-Ma'ribee said, in his speech, "Usaamah al-Umree narrated to me that he heard Shaykh Rabee' saying, "Indeed, speaking about the Jamaa'aat has caused me to forget many sciences, until I almost became like a common person", and the burden for this (narration) is upon Usaamah al-Umree and I do not think that he will reject this!!".

And this statement is a pure fabrication or lie, as is his habit of ascribing statements to people who are free from them, and his desire to create corruption between the Salafee students of knowledge and their Shaykhs may Allaah protect them from every evil, and repel the plots of the plotters, and the fabrications of the liars.

So let him fear Allaah, and let him remember the saying of Allaah Azza wa Jall, "And fear a day when you will be returned to Allaah, then every soul will be recompensed for what it earned, and they will not be wronged". And let him remember the saying of the Messenger (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam), "You must adhere to truthfulness, for verily, truthfulness guides to righteousness, and righteousness guides to Paradise, and a man does not cease to be truthful and pursue truthfulness, except that he is written as a truthful person with Allaah. And beware of lying for verily, lying guides to fujoor (sin) and fujoor guides to Hellfire and a man does not cease to lie and pursue lying, except that he is written as a liar with Allaah." Reported by al-Bukhaaree, Muslim, Abu Dawood, at-Tirmidhee, and he authenticated it and the wording is his.

And prayers and peace be upon Muhammad, his family and his companions.

Declared the Liar by Three of those Who
who Sat with al-Ma'ribee numerous times in Madinah
When They Arbitrated for Him

Abu Umar al-Utaybee, in his refutation of the Sulaymaanee Dajjaal's latest round of fabrications, slanders and mockery of Shaykh Rabee' bin Haadee (in which he accuses him of having extremism in takfeer), narrates:

And I asked Shaykh Saalih as-Suhaymee, and Shaykh Muhammad Haadee, and Shaykh Abdullaah al-Bukhaaree about you (i.e. al-Ma'ribee), and all of them said:

You (i.e. al-Ma'ribee) are a Kadhdhaab (Liar)

And they explained their jarh in detail and explained it (with evidences).

ولقد سألت عنك الشيخ صالح السحيمي والشيخ محمد هادي والشيخ عبد الله البخاري فكلهم قال : إنك كذاب . وفسروا جرحهم وبينوه

The Fitnah of Jarh and Tajreeh Against Ahl us-Sunnah: Lessons from "Rifqan Ahl us-Sunnah..."
Part 4

The Fitnah of Tafreeq (Causing Separation) And Working
Plots Towards This End, And Revealing them to Others

Alhamdulillaahi Rabbil-Aalameen Was-Salatu Was-Salamu Alaa Rasoolihi. Wa ba'ad.

The brother, Abdur-Rahman Abu Abdullah Aal Umaysaan, a former close acquaintance of Abul-Hasan al-Ma'ribee has a written a testimony exposing some statements that this Ikhwaanee Dajjaal made, indicating the true nature of his misguidance and his evil intentions.

http://www.anasalafi.net/showthread.php?s=31b9d647c3f21d702820431433982d4c&threadid=3400

Amongst what he has written is:
quote:
I heard Abal-Hasan Mustafaa bin Ismaa'eel as-Sulaymaanee al-Misree, the resident of Ma'rib say, whilst he was on his journey to meet the Shaykhs of Madniah, who wanted to make Islaah:

"You will see O Abdar-Rahmaan, Shaykh Rabee' will be walking all by himself, all of the people will be with us".

And he used to contact us (by phone) and would (boast) saying, "So and so (number of people) were present with us in such and such place...", and then as the days passed by his followers would be decreasing, and then after some days his deceptions and plotting would return - which is a habit of his - and he would then say, "This is the way of the people of truth, that their followers decrease".

Then Abu Abdullaah Abd ur-Rahmaan explains how Abul-Hasan al-Ma'ribee kept saying that we have to now review everything that Shaykh Rabee has said concerning individuals. That he debated with him concerning Adnaan Ar'oor explaining that all the scholars have spoken against him, even Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin al-Abbaad warned from him and advised not to sit with him or listen to him and not to invite him, and that Ar'oor is the one who reviled all the scholars and even said about Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin al-Abbaad, "his words are thrown back in his own face", meaning the words Shaykh Abdul-Muhsin said in warning against Ar'oor.

And Abu Abdullaah Abdur-Rahmaan continues and says that Shaykh Muqbil also affirmed that Ar'oor is a Qutubi, as Shaykh Rabee' said so and whoever Shaykh Rabee' speaks of saying he is Hizbee or Qutubee, then the days will soon reveal tha he is indeed so, and that he also explained to Abul-Hasan al-Ma'ribee that Shaykh Ibn Uthaymeen and Shaykh al-Fawzaan even spoke about him and refuted him. So alongside all of this Abul-Hasan al-Ma'ribee still wanted to reject whatever Shaykh Rabee had said about Adnaan Ar'oor. And he also says that he wonders whether Abul-Hasan al-Ma'ribee, if he was asked about others like Salman and Safar, would he come with the same thing (i.e. to ask for the rejection of the criticisms against them by Shaykh Rabee' as well, just as he was hoping with Ar'oor, because he was a friend of Ar'oor.)

He also said:
quote:

5. Abul-Hasan said to me, "If the Mashaayikh of Madinah issued a bayaan in which there is no support for the truth, I will certainly refute them".

And he also said:
quote:

7. And our Shaykh, Shaykh Alee bin Muhammad bin Naasir al-Faqeehee narrated to me, "I have not sat with Abul-Hasan except once. However, I saw that he was a hotheaded youth, and he never ceased to be affected by the Ikhwaaniyyah which he used to be upon".

And he also said:
quote:

8. And what also occurred with him once, was that we were in a hotel in which he stopped, and then one of the brothers came with some dates which were on a plate which had a covering over it (to cover the dates), so Abul-Hasan took this covering off the plate, and he said, "This is what I have done with the Salafees...".

I say: I don't know in which time they were suppressed (i.e. hidden), was it in the time of Shaykh Muqbil, in "the time of fear"?

And he finishes by saying:
quote:

So O you who desires the truth and hopes in deliverance, this is only a selection of that which we observed from him, so beware and know the reality of this man... this is what I heard from his man, I ask Allaah the Mighty, that he protects us and protects the Salafee Da'wah from his evil and the evil of his likes.

Some Important Facts
Ar'oor was the one who corrupted al-Maghraawee, and turned him Qutubee. Shaykh Rabee' gave great excuses for Maghraawee, before it became absolutely clear that he allied with Ar'oor and became affected by his manhaj and started to teach it in his lessons and books. Ar'oor was with Safar and Salman and upon their manhaj in calling to the manhaj of Sayyid Qutb, and al-Ma'ribee is intimate friends with Ar'oor and Ar'oor is the one who corrupted al-Maghrawee.  Al-Ma'ribee is married to the daughter of one of the two men executed along with Sayyid Qutb in 1966 in Egypt. Things start making sense? Al-Ma'ribee was a former Takfeeree from one of the takfeeree groups in Egypt. He fled to Yemen in the early 80s or around that time. Al-Ma'ribee taught the book of Sayyid Qutb called Milestones in his camp in Ma'rib. He defended him on the issue of Wahdatul-Wujood using the arguments of Abdullaah Azzaam, at a time when he knew that the Major Salafee scholars had refuted him on it. He taught the book of Salaah as-Saawee called Jamaa'at ul-Muslimeen, and Abdul-Qadir Abdul-Azeez's book on Jihaad, both these individuals are Qutubis. Al-Ma'ribee sat in the same house as Salman al-Awdah. Al-Ma'ribee jointly authorises funds and grants for some of the students of knowledge with some of the outspoken Qutubi figureheads of Saudi Arabia. His signuature appears on his own letterheads along with one of the major Qutubi figureheads of Saudi Arabia. This is documented and copies of this are on the Internet. Hassan al-Banna brought the principle of "ta'aawun and ma'dhirah" (co-operating and forgiving), Salman al-Awdah and others brought "al-Muwaazanah". Ar'oor brought "we correct but do not disparage", and al-Ma'ribee brought "we correct but do not destroy"? Now understand that all of this is Ikhwaaniyyah and has the same source and root? All of the above facts, are facts. They are documented, corroborated.

As Shaykh Ubayd said (in September 2002 after their attempts to correct and advise Abul-Hasan - and this is available as audio):
quote:

"...And it seems that the man, we have already advised him, and he does not benefit from advice...and that which is affirmed and established with me is that the man is a pure Ikhwani (Ikhwani of flesh), one who devises plots (maakir), one who plays around (la''aab), and one who has been sent, or planted ( madsoos) amongst the Shaykhs of Yemen, in order to split their word, and to turn them into sects and groups...And we advise cutting off from him, until he repents, from everything that he fell into of error, and then spreads this repentance, and that this repentance is recorded.."
