Alhamdulillah Was Salatu Was Salamu Alaa Ashrafil-Anbiyaa. Wa Ba'd:

We ask Allaah to reward this brother for his frankness, his display of sincere desire for the truth, and to accept from this brother what he has presented by way of recantation, clarification, and speaking with the truth, and leaving falsehood, which he has done in his statement without the slightest hint of hesitation or reluctance.

We also call upon all our brothers and sisters to encourage and support this brother in learning and understanding the Salafee manhaj and in commending this great step he has taken. Indeed, a person's rank only increases with repentance and return to the truth, and it is a sign of intellect.

Let this also be a model for those who are still upon falsehood to this day, and who have not stood by the truth, with the scholars who are upon the truth in this matter.

Once more we ask Allaah to reward this brother and accept from him, and may Allaah keep us all firmly upon the aqeedah and manhaj of the Salaf. Ameen.

This is a quotation posted by someone on another thread:

quote:
Shaykh Rabee' bin Haadee al-Madkhalee,

"So Allaah mobilised Ahl us-Sunnah and granted them success in repelling the falsehoods of these people and exposing their people, all as sincere advice (in calling) to Allaah, His Messenger and the Believers. And amongst the tribulations whose spear has been directed towards Ahl us-Sunnah specifically, the people of the Salafee manhaj, in order to slaughter them, is the tribulation of Abdur-Rahmaan Abdul-Khaaliq, the tribulation of Mahmood al-Haddaad, the tribulation of Adnaan Ar?oor, the tribulation of Hasan al-Maalikee, and the tribulation of Abul-Hasan al-Misree al-Ma?ribee, and this (latter one) is the most severe one of them all, and the greatest one with regards to deception and wide claims. And amongst these wide and false claims is the claim of ?ta?seel?  (laying down foundations, principles). And what will tell you exactly what this ?ta?seel? is? It is nothing but throwing destructive, corrupt principles (usool) that destroy the principles of Ahl us-Sunnah wal-Jamaa?ah and the manhaj of the Salaf us-Saalih. Especially the principles (from the Sunnah) that stand against innovations and the various (types of) misguidance.? (From ?Haqeeqat ul-Manhaj il-Waasi? ?Inda Abil-Hasan ? The Reality of the ?Vast Manhaj? [Intended] In the View of Abul-Hasan?, from Rabee.Net).

The Castle of Ma'rib continues to crumble on top of its existing ruins.

From:   Mujaahid Al Irlande (Liam Egan)

To:       Whomsoever it may concern

?Except for those who repent and correct themselves and make evident
[what they concealed]. Those ? I will accept their repentance,
and I am the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.

Shaikh Rabee? (may Allah preserve him) in elucidating the meaning of this ayah, highlights a number of requisites for the acceptance of an individuals repentance, ?he must mention the innovation that he fell into, clarify its falsity, proclaim his regret for falling into it, announce his abandonment of that action along with a firm intention to never return to it? and also ?if he had harmed the people ? and his innovation had spread amongst them, then he must openly clarify its falsity and spread the evidences that prove the futility of that thing.? ?These are the conditions of (his) repentance: a true feeling of remorse, abandoning (the innovation), and a firm resolution to never return to his innovation.?

In the hope of acceptance from my Rabb and desiring a completion of my repentance before Him, I offer the following by way of submission to Him. That which I have resolved in my heart and upon my limbs to do, I now clarify to the people, seeking their forgivenes for the harm that I have done and seeking the counsel of the wise so that I might continue upon this clear path.
  • Imam Ahmad said,?The Sunnah with us is ?..the abandonment of controversies and the abandonment of sitting with the people of Ahwaa.? From the inception of my Islam up to this very day, I have been known amongst the people as a person of argumentation and controversy. Aside from placing my own self in this pitiful and woeful predicament, I have confused others by way of my quarrelling, baatil qiyaas and stubborn resistance to the basic principles of this deen.

The Salaf used to protect their ears from hearing the kind of futility I have become notorious for, following the command of their Rabb and mine in Surah Al-An?aam (6:68), ?And when you see those engage in [offensive] discourse concerning our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversation. And if Satan should cause you to forget, then do not remain after the reminder with the wronging people.? Indeed in compliance with this ayah a number of noble brothers have abandoned me, seeking the pleasure of their Rabb, may Allah reward them for their obediance to Him, the  Prophet and our honourable Salaf.

My heart grieves over the great peril I have placed my soul and others in. I acknowledge before Allah and the people the seriousness of my offence and resolve to leave off controversies and all vain, idle talk. As Allah is my witness I will strive to hold my tongue and seek knowledge and advice from ?those who know? rather than enter upon the ordinary people that which might cause confusion. I have repented before my Rabb and now seek the forgiveness of those who were unfortunate enough to be within earshot of my evil speech.

A regrettable legacy of my Christian days is that of analogical reasoning. The now defunct Christian system, void of clear, unadulterated revelation and texts relied on this manner of reasoning to derive its rules and regulations. Indeed as a lay preacher I was trained and cultivated upon this manhaj.

  • Unfortunately I carried this baatil manhaj over into Islam, which unlike its predecessor, has its sacred texts protected by Allah Himself. Those who know me have heard me on countless occasions recite an ayah or a hadith and then proceed to offer my own interpretation of what I believed it meant, even at times linking it to a verse from the bible. Sometimes I would arrive at the truth, other times I was way off, however AT ALL TIMES I WAS PLAINLY IN ERROR and in very real danger of lying upon Allah and His Messenger as well as causing confusion amongst the people. Indeed one brother is reported to have commented that, had he not known those who befriended me he would have thought me an ?undercover missionary,? such was the impression I left upon the people.

Shuraih al-Qaadee (d. 80H) said, ?Verily the Sunnah has preceded your qiyaas, so follow and do not innovate.? This deen is not in need of my baatil qiyaas or recourse to the abrogated Christian texts, I however am in dire need of correct knowledge and insight, but above all forgiveness for the uncertainty I placed in the hearts of people. I have repented to my Rabb, having left this way of falsehood after a meeting with a group of sincere, upright brothers in Riyadh some months back, may Allah bless them. I ask Allah for firmness upon this way, resolving in my heart never to return to it.

  • As is the way of Ahl-ul-Hawa, I have not withheld my tongue from speaking ill of the noble scholars of this era or the rulers of this land of Tawheed. The recent affair with the innovator, Abul Hasan, brought to the fore many, many issues I thought I had repented of. What is obvious now is that I really only glossed over them and the recent fitnah was enough to expose their ugliness once again. What is now evident is that my biased partianship, misplaced loyalty and zeal toward the students of Shaikh Al Albani coupled with a diseased, misguided heart caused me to utter wickedness I am ashamed to repeat.

The Messenger of Allah commanded respect and honour for the scholars as he said, ?He is not from among us who does not know the worth of our scholar.? As Allah is my witness my heart grieves over the comments I have made regarding the Scholars of this Ummah (may Allah preserve them). With the benefit of hindsight, the foresight these noble scholars have concerning ?ilm-ar?rijaal? has become very apparent to me, only now do I recognise the deceptive speech of Ussamah Adh Dhabee, the devilish plans of Abul Hasan, the utter stupidity of Abdul Qaadir and my complete lack of understanding of this manhaj.

May Allah have mercy on Al-Haafiz Ibn Asaakir who said, ?The flesh of the scholars is poisonous. And Allah?s way in humiliating these people is well known. And whoever reaches the scholars by defaming them, Allah will test him by causing his heart to die.? Shaikh Fawzaan said, ?There is not anyone who has disdain for the Scholars, but that he brings a harsh punishment upon himself. History ? in old and new times ? is a witness for this, regardless of whether these Scholars are from amongst those who are in charge of the affairs of the Muslims, such as the judges; or the Committee of major Scholars.? Lest my heart draw any closer to the pitiful state mentioned above, I openly recant from all that I have spoken in open and in secret regarding the Scholars of this Ummah. I swear by Allah I will strive to protect my tongue against uttering any word that is less than praisworthy and I will defend their honour jealously in an effort to make amends.

Although I have never uttered a statement of takfir upon the rulers like the filthy Khawarij, I have to my complete and utter shame made a number of disparaging remarks and have at times ridiculed those whom Allah has placed over us. Ibn Abdul-Barr reported from Abu Ishaaq as-Sahai?iyy that he said, ?Never do a people revile their Ruler except that they are prevented from his goodness.? Again from Ibn Abdul-Barr who reports with an isnaad from Abu Darda that he said, ?Verily, the first (appearance) of hypocrisy in a man is his censure and rebuke of his Ruler.?

Even as I write this, I do so with a heavy heart, by Allah if I thought removing my tongue would cure my depravity I would hasten to do it but I know it is a heart issue and that is where the rectification must take place. I am truly sorry to those whom I have poured scorn upon. Having sought Allah?s forgiveness, I now seek clemency from those I have harmed and offended. I affirm with all my being that this land, her rulers and its Scholars are indeed upon the religion of Muhammad and his Companions, may Allah preserve them in this.

  • The noble, upright ones in this Ummah have from the past, up to this day refuted, cautioned and warned against Ahl-ul-Bida? and their evil machinations. At the heads of these noble callers in this age are the likes of Shaikh Rabee?, Shaikh Fawzaan, Shaikh Faaleh, Shaikh Ahmad an-Najmee, Shaikh Obaid Al Jabree and others (may Allah preserve them all). During this fitnah with Abul Hasan, Ahl-ul-Bida? unleashed a mighty onslaught against the Ummah of Muhammad, seeking to shake the very foundations of the Religion. The assault of these satanic minions was further reinforced by ignorant ones such as myself, who affected by the baseness of tamyee sought to make excuses for those without excuse. My repulsive display of this foul characteristic was apparent to all but myself until recently.
My statements on SalafiTalk regarding Abdul Qaadir did indeed exhibit laxity and softness, my referring to Abul Hasan as ?Shaikh?, my refusal to speak the truth about those who were plainly upon error, all of this and more was evidence that I had indeed joined the ranks of the mumayyi?oon. It is as Shaikh Faaleh said, ?They followed the people of misguidance because of their lack of correct knowledge and insight.?

The turning point for me was when I purchased the Questionable Salafi Society and Lax Luton conference tapes, in the vain hope of trying to understand what Al Jarh wa Ta?deel was, who is and who isn?t a mubtadi and what all this mess was about. The tapes were a complete disappointment and a shock, a real eye-opener. They didn?t state anything new, were replete with generalisations and spurious calls for leniency and ?rahmah? and didn?t at all address the manifest errors of Abul Hasan. Abu Ussamah?s diatribe of abuse against the clear salafi brothers was a joke and really exposed him for the charlatan he is. In short I felt really deflated, those whom I had exerted much effort in defending offered little in their own defense. I had built my foundation on sinking sand and the whole thing just collapsed upon me. This prompted me to once again read over a series of articles a brother by the name of Abu Aisha had given me at the beginning (publicized) of this whole affair. Having removed my prejudice, the clarity of the Shaikh?s (Rabee?s) arguments coupled with his evident concern and love for the Ummah was refreshingly obvious, I yielded, accepted the truth and begged my Rabbs forgiveness.

I assert and I believe with all my heart that this group, this trait, this laxity and softening toward Ahl-ul-Bida? is an evil characteristic that must be repented of and warned against. Having fallen prey to those wolves that lie in wait, having given and ear and opened my heart to their deviations and doubts and being all the more aware of the causes and ill effects of this inclination, I resolve from this time on to take a stand with the scholars of this Ummah, to speak with what they speak with and to hold back when they remain silent. I ask Allah?s forgiveness and I seek the forgiveness of those who were unduly affected by my tamyee.

  • The Prophet said, ?A person is upon the deen of his khaleel, so look to whom you befriend.? and ?The case of the good companion and the bad companion is like that of the seller of musk and the blower of the bellows. As for the seller of musk, he will either give you some of the musk, or you will purchase some from him, or at least you will come away having experienced its good smell. Whereas the blower of the bellows will either burn your clothing, or at least you will come away having experienced its repugnant smell.? It is my sincere wish that once the fruits of my repentance become apparent and fellowship is restored that I might be permitted to sit with those who will benefit me in this life and the next. I have no desire to be amongst those who will say, ?Oh! Would that I had taken a path with the Messenger. Ah! Woe to me! Would that I had never taken so-and-so as a friend! He indeed led me astray from the Reminder after it had come to me.? [25:27]
I am sincerely striving to repent and have bore my soul to all as a witness to this. If there are any shortcomings in that which I have presented, I would be grateful for your sincere advice so that I might repent fully.

JazakAllahuKhairan
