Assalamu'alaikum wa rahmatullah, i know of quite a few people who have been affected by jinn or magic to quite severe degrees and have sought some kind of help, however i do not know if the help which they sought was from the sunnah and wether or not in actual fact they are cured! may Allah protect us from such things, does anyone know according to the sunnah what should be done in severe cases or anyone in london or the uk that can deal with such issues. jazakamullah khair

As Salaamu alaikum wa Rahmatullaah; The cure of jinn possesion/magic are many in the hadeeth. The systematic recitation of Qur'aan observing the rules of Tajweed and authentic dua by the Mercy of Almighty Allaah is the cure. Jealousy, envy and ignorace are the main sources behind the scenes when you see someone affected by jinn possesion/magic. Allaah informs us that the Qur'aan is a healing for the believers (May Allaah make us from among the believers). From Faatiha to An Naas. This is a topic that has been basically overlooked by alot of brothers in the West but it is abundant and alive. If you can contact brother Abu Hakeem Bilal Davis from Birmingham, inshaaAllaah, he should be able to point you in the right direction. As Salaamu alaikum wa Rahmatullaah Abdul Basir Al-Yardi

اَسلآمْ عَلَيْكُمْ What is the rule on blocking a jinn and punishing it? As believers believe that offering from a jinn is a shirk. But in this case I think this is not an offering. So please tell me the hukum in the religion for this matter. May الله protect us from disbelieving Jinn and make us to OBEY الله as ordered us. امين ابو يوسف "Verily, those who believe [in the Oneness of الله and in His Messenger (Muhammad sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam)] and work deeds of righteousness, the Most Beneficent (الله) will bestow love for them (in the hearts of the believers)." Asalamu alykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu ukhtee May i recommend a book inshallah, that i found very benefical alhamdulillah. It's called :The rules and etiquettes of Ruqya by sh. Saalih ibn Abdil Azeez Aali Sheikh (Hafidullah) with comments by sh. Abdul Azeez ibn Baaz (Rahimullah) and sh. Rabee ibn Haddee al Madkhalee (Hafidullah). The discussion on this book was actually taken from a lecture surrounding the topic of the etiquettes of ruqyah in light of the Qur'an and sunnah, also showing the clear errors of those who claim they heal people. Inshallah please refer back to this benefical book. Umm yahya bint muhammed

Asalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullaah attached is an excellent arabic book from the noble shaykh muhammad al imam, hafidhullaah, from Ma'bar, Yemen. As is known, the shaykh himself is an exorcist.
