As salaamu 'alaikum

What should the Salafee do regarding money one sees on the street?

Ex. You get out of your car and on the sidewalk you see money and there is no one around.

What should one do concerning money one sees on the ground,with no owner around to claim it? Is it permissible to take or should we just leave it?
