As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh. I was discussing Thalaathatul Usool by Shaykh 'Abdul Wahhab rahimahullah with another sister. She mentioned "Ad du'aa u mukhkhul 'ibaadah" should be replaced with "Ad du'aa u huwal 'ibaadah" because the first hadeeth is weak. I said to her that Shaykh 'Uthaymeen rahimahullah has explained that this hadeeth is weak (other scholars have written explanations of this text too alhamdulillah). I also said that it was ok to memorize the text the way it is because no scholar that I know of has called for a change, Wallahu A'lam. The conversation we had was very interesting and I said to her that I will ask the people of knowledge. So, In Shaa 'Allah if anyone with 'ilm can advise us, we'd appreciate it. Barakallahu feekum wa ahsanallahu ilaikum ajma'een.
