salaam alaykum

as unusual as it looks but there have been 2 different people recently a brother of ours met and had claimed with total belief that there is a Tenth volume (vol 10) of Sahih AL Bukhari.

whats even more amazing is that both individuals make it out to be a horror story that the 10th volume was banned from publishing claiming that it killed the people who ever read it, i.e. the people who died were found dead clinging to the book tightly, and the had died of teh shock of its contents.

according to them is that the tenth volume went into great detail regarding the grave i.e. the punishments and life etc..

on the face of it you can assume the following:

if there is a 10th volume why then the scholars of the past not ever mentioned it in there books?

also even if so they did cover the contents of this book, why then havent we heard any narration about the Companions of Rasoolulaah salalaahu alayhee wasalam die upon hearing the revelations regarding barzak, being as they were the most pious and God fearing of all mankind after the prophets and messenegrs? have they covered them narrations also?

this sounds so much like the extreme soofees who died upon reading the Qur'aan..

i know its upon the claimant to provide and bring the proofs first however i know that people who are not salafi wont bother bringing their sources especially if one claims his father has the copy of teh 10th volume in yemen!

so im asking those who have gone into the field of hadeeth, did you ever here of such claims like these? have the ulemah mentioned or warned any claims like these?

this is most likely a false attribute to the imaam but at least if the brotehrs can assure us on this matter it be greatly appreciated.

jazakallahu kahir

wasalaam alaykum
