Topic: Daarul-Mustafah?

Bismillaahir-rahmaanir-Raheem. Alhamdulillaahi rabbil 'aalameen. Was-sawlaatu wa salaamu 'alaa nabiyyanaa Muhammadan wa 'alaa aalihe wa ashaabihe ajma'een.

As-salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh.

Does anyone know what manhaj is taught at Daarul-Mustafah in Yemen?

I ask because for the past two weeks a brother visited his wife's family here in Belize, Central America, where we live.  While he was here he taught some arabic classes, which my husband and I attended.  In the classes he made some statements that led us to question the soundness of his manhaj.  He is a young brother, in his twenties, but seems to be very well indoctrinated...with what,I am not sure.  My husband confronted him about his manhaj and it became clear that he is not salafee, rather he dispises the salafees.  He has also been weaned on to the belittlement of the scholars, for when I tried to get him to say "rahimahullaah' after Shaykhul-Islaam ibn Taymiyyah's name he looked like he was going to turn inside out...literally.  Ofcourse, he also had bilittlements for Shaykh al-Albaani,raheemahullaah!  When we offered to give him some clarification about these two Shaykhs (from articles from www.troid.org) he refused to accept them.

The point is my husband and I, who are ignorant and trying to educate ourselves about this pure manhaj of the salaf, to my knowledge, are the only two salafees in this whole country.  There are many new muslims, who are receptive, who we are trying to educate about this da'wah, and also the older muslims in the community, with very little success, Wallaahu Musta'aan...and Allah knows best what is in the hearts of men, we can only judge from what is apparent, in speech and action.

It was clear that when he was here the young muslims were very impressed by his command of the arabic language and took him as an authority.  He attended Daarul-Mustafah in Yemen.  I want to know who teaches there and what they teach so that my husband and I can prepare ourselves to refute his falsehood, as he is being invited back this summer by some of the other brothers here.

Please respond to this inquiry and may Allah bless you.
May Allah reward all of the brothers and sisters upon this noble da'wah and reward them for every second they spend in purfying His deen.  Aameen.
Jazakallaahu khayr katheer

                                   Bismillah walhamdullillah wa ba'd
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah

I dont mean to get off of the subject of the brother from Yemen, however my family is from Belize and I have not returned there in over 10 years.  All I do know is that they live at 92 New Road in Belize City.  I hesitated on returning there after I became Muslim because I told myself that I wanted to get some knowledge first in order to call the people to the deen.  If you could tell me the address of the masjid and how the community is I would greatly appreciate it. Jazakumullahu khairan wa salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah.

Wa 'aleikum us salaam wa Rahmatullah

Daarul-Mustafa is a Sufee madrasah in Terim Yemen (wadee Hadramout). It is practically the centre where many sufees go from States and otehr countries. They are very well organized and have a web-site as well as a msn group.

May Allah guide them to the haqq

Jazakallaahu khayr for the information salafi_i_am.  If any of the students of knowledge on this board can give us some advice on this situation it would be greatly appreciated, Insha'Allaah.
