العلامة الفوزان يرد على طعن أبي الحسن في أسامة بن زيد Al-Allaamah Al-Fawzaan Replies To The Cursing Of Abul-Fitan Al-Ma'rabee Of The Companion Usaamah Bin Zayd, radhiAllaahu 'anhu. Summary: The Shaykh is asked about the one who says about Usaamah bin Zayd, radhiAllaahu 'anhu, that he has no qawaa'id and no usool, due to him killing the one who proclaimed 'laa ilaaha illallaah' just before Usaamah Bin Zayd killed him. The Shaykh responded by mentioning the hadeeth in which the Messenger, salallaahu alayhi wassalam, said: 'Do not curse my Companions. I swear by Him in whose Hands is my soul, if you were to spend a mountain the size of Uhud in gold, it would not equal a handful or even half of what my Companions gave.' Usaamah Bin Zayd was of the best and select of the Companions. And this cursing is not permissible and the one who said it must repent to Allaah. It is obligatory to honour and respect the Companions and not to speak about them (in this manner). And his killing of the man was upon his ijtihaad, radhi Allaahu 'anhu. Click voice recording below:
