I just speak with a Person from my Town. A Brother told me, that he is Salafi. He was for a while Imaam in a Ikhwaani Mescid. So I want to test this Person. I called him and speak with him a little. So I told him, that Muhammed Ibn Seerin (rahimullah)said, that we should ask the People from where they take Knowledge from. So I ask him from where he take his Knowledge. He told me, that he don´t must told me this, because he don´t Teach Knowledge. And he told me, that I don´t must ask every Person from where he take his knowledge from. So my Question now is: Did I make anything wrong? And how or what should I ask a Person so that I know that this Person is from Ahlu-Sunnah / Salafiyyah ? Barakallahu fiqhum

As-Salaamu 'alaykum, Akhee, perhaps you can see if he is known to the brothers in Kaiserslautern. Know a person by his companionship. And you have the statement of our Shaykh 'Ubayd (hafidhahullaah). Aboo Sufyaan 'Uthmaan Beecher Kuwait أبو سفيان عثمان بيشر الأمريكي
