Topic: The truth about internet marriage

Many Salafees have profiles on an internet marriage introduction website called "Muslim Intro".  I'm not going to give it's URL because I'm not sure if that's allowed by the admin.

On the surface it seems like just another muslim marriage intro service.  Thousands of people of different sects and groups, including many Salafees, have profiles with it.  In particular, there are many Salafees in north America, especially the U.S., who have profiles there.

However, what many people don't know is that it's one of several websites which form a so-called "Islamic Revival network".  On their portal site there is a list of links.  Nearly all of the links listed are websites of or affiliated to Hizb ut-Tahrir.

I am not even a da'ee, yet alone a student of knowledge or scholar, and so am NOT issuing a ruling; I'm NOT saying it's haraam or even makrooh to use their services, because I'm not qualified to do so.  I'm just informing you so you are aware.

But what I would most certainly advise* against is visiting the "Muslim Intro" forums because there are ongoing discussions there, not only about marriage but also on current affairs and what they call "knowledge", and many of the people who write and post regularly are harakiyyeen who spread confusion and shubahaat.

*N.B.  Again, I'm not giving a ruling.  I'm just giving advice based on what I've read there of confusion.
