As-salaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullaah,

NOTHING WAS DISTRIBUTED REGARDING SH. WASI ULLAAH OUTSIDE OR INSIDE OUR MOSQUE IN BIRMINGHAM, OR IN THE BOOKSTORE OR SCHOOL OR ANY OTHER OF OUR FACILITIES AT ANY TIME WHATSOEVER!!

The jumu'ah regarding which this accusation was made against Maktabatus-Salafiyyah was the Jumu'ah of the Maktabah Salafiyyah Conference (August 2007). That Jumu'ah was attended by nearly 2,000 worshippers! NOT a SINGLE worshipper or attendee of the conference has mentioned or reported that any leaflet regarding Shaykh Wasi'ullaah was handed out, either secretely or openly.

So this is yet another fabrication against our honour without foundation or verification. And Allaah's aid is sought.

Wassallaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullaah

As-salaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullaah,

OVER TWO MONTHS HAVE GONE BY...

So two months have passed, not a single narrator has come forth, not a single name of a person who received a leaflet or handed out a leaflet in or outside our Masjid has been provided.

Yet, the accusation that was initially made was that this leaflet distribution took place on a jumu'ah! Our regular jumu'ah attendance is approximately 1,000 people. Yet those slanderers cannot bring to us a single person who was given this so-called leaflet outside the Salafi Masjid, nor the name of anyone who handed out these  leaflets outside the Salafi Masjid. Sufficient is it that they cannot 'name their narrators' as a proof of these false allegations.

In fact we have Security CCTV (Close Circuit TV) in operation outside both exits of the Mosque. So activity on those Jumu'ahs (and any other day) is logged and recorded and shows no distribution of any alleged leaflet regarding Shaikh Wasi'Ullaah. So is it not clear to see who is the truthful and who is the liar once again?

But just to close the door on this fabrication, (in case they claim that the distribution was covert) we want names just as they named the person regarding the alleged "khula" and "abduction to Kuwait" incident, so we can verify the truthfulness of their claims. And so Shaikh Wasi'Ullaah and the people generally can see the reality of these evil-doers.

Pathetic and shameful are the words that come to mind! And they are the ones narrating this falsehood to Shaikh Wasi'ullaah? May Allaah protect us.

Wassallaamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullaah

Lessons and Benefits From The Above

We have clearly established the falsehood of a number of allegations made against brothers responsible for Maktabah Salafiyyah. These false allegations have been propagated by certain individuals narrating to Shaikh WasiUllah. This in itself is a great disrespect to Shaikh WasiUllah and they are dishonouring him.

These lies have been distributed and spread far and wide. We are still waiting for their narrators to be named. In the meanwhile, its an obligation upon us to remind these individuals (may Allaah rectify them) of the following:

1. Hatred of a people does not mean that you can oppress them with slander and lies and consider this an insignificant thing when the truth is exposed

Allaah the Most High said, "Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). (Qaf 50:18)".

And He, the Most High said, "A slanderer, going about with calumnies (spreading them between people)..." (Al-Qalam 68:11)

And the Messenger (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said: "A man says something which he considers insignificant and on account of it he enters the Hellfire with the distance between the East and West".

Indeed some of them have gone as far as making takfeer and instead of repenting and apologising they make excuses (and mock and jest) for why they uttered such statements in the first place!

We fear for these people who make such a light matter of these affairs.

2. Attempting to fool naive people on forums who don't know any better with these lies only adds to the burden of sin

As if inventing the lies in the first place was not bad enough, fooling innocent bystanders with lies and slanders only increases the gravity of sin. Just look out how potentially hundreds, if not thousands of people were made to consume this lie that the brothers responsible for Maktabah Salafiyyah were distributing a leaflet warning against Shaikh WasiUllah outside their masjid on a Jumu'ah. The more this spreads, the more the burden of sin increases upon the original instigators and distributors.

It is very easy to conjure up a very convincing story (like the example of the leaflet distribution above) to a people who would never have the means to verify whatever was being claimed. But the ease with which this can be done, simply means that the burden of sin is multiplied many times over. And this is just one lie, how about when there are in fact a multitude of lies that these people are responsible for.

They should again fear Allaah and reflect over this, repent and make amends. This is indeed for their own good.

3. At least try to be constructive instead of making a wanton display of internal rage and hatred

Indeed, if you were to just take even a quick glance of the hundreds of posts by such individuals you will find such vile accusations and filthy language it would make you ashamed just to read them.

And then they speak about "Rifqan ahl us-sunnah bi ahl us-sunnah" and the "Ghulaat and haddaadiyyah"??!

Make a closer inspection and you strongly sense that these individuals really do have some personal vendetta to grind that has nothing to do with the Deen. It is an infatuation, and an addiction almost. Even the manner in which they do what they do does not make them appear sane, but driven by intense rage and hatred.

We ask that you just stop for a short while and inspect your souls and your intentions. Are you engaging in these acts to satisfy your internal rage and hatred? Or is it purely and sincerely for the sake of Allaah? If it is for the sake of Allaah, then why do you not repent and apologise for these lies and slanders you have already propagated to Shaikh WasiUllah and others? Or are you going to just brush aside what you have done and quickly move on to the next series of lies and slanders you can invent to propagate on forums and via email?

That would really prove or disprove the correctness of your intentions.

4. Seriously check your intentions

To illustrate, we posted a picture of Suhaib Hasan sitting next to an open caller to Shirk in a da'wah unity conference. So a person who understands even a little about Salafiyyah, about Tawheed, and about Walaa (allegiance) and Baraa (enmity) for Allaah's sake, should raise a few questions?

Would Suhaib Hasan sit on a platform of da'wah next to a person who was a known caller to pornography, adultery and fornication? We don't think so. Yet he sits with a caller to open shirk with no correction of him or his destructive creed! Which is worse, a major sin or Shirk?

The point being that a person who has even a basic understanding of Tawheed and aqeedah would raise serious questions and be moved to hate this action and detest it. This behaviour of Suhaib Hasan cannot be justified by any false Ikhwaani principles of da'wah. And not tolerated from him, especially after it was Shaikh Ibn Baaz himself who told Suhaib Hasan that this type of da'wah work is not allowed!

But what do we find these people doing? Making every excuse and bending over backwards to either free Suhaib Hasan from the Jam'iyyah Ahl ul-Hadeeth or vice versa, all in order to preserve the status of the Jam'iyyah and the 'shaikh-ness' of Suhaib Hasan. You see the actions of these people are based around the defence and promotion of whom they love, and it does not go beyond that. Its not about the manhaj or the da'wah.

And what do they criticise and hate us for?

For pointing out these issues and for bringing these issues out, and bringing clear cut evidences for them. So we show a picture of Suhaib Hasan sitting next to a caller to shirk on a platform of da'wah because we detest and hate this for the sake of Allaah, and then we see them, in clear retaliation and revenge, propagating lies and slanders against us, because they detest and hate this action of ours. So you should ponder over their motives.

So they are shaken that we bring these issues, but they are not shaken at what they see or hear of very serious calamities from those whom they are allied with. This brings serious doubts about the intentions behind what they are doing of spreading lies and slanders (like the one discussed above). It has gotten so bad  that all of their activities now are focused solely at destroying one or two individuals and Salafi Publications.

As we said before, its evidently become an infatuation and an addiction.

If you see us propounding or acting upon any principle or statement that opposes the manhaj, or anything from the Ikhwaani principles, or you see us sitting next to Ash'aris or Sufis on platforms of da'wah, or praising their books, or inviting the likes of Zaki Badawi, or socialists and marxists to our conferences, then by all means refute us, and explain the falsehood of it all and its opposition to the manhaj and da'wah and criticise us for it. But please don't invent lies against us and slander us and rouse the people against us when we ourselves merely perform this obligation with clear cut evidences.

So we advise them once more, you seriously need to check your loving and hating, your walaa and baraa - check your hearts and your motives, for Allaah will question you. May Allaah cure you of your intense hatred and anger and pardon you for your slanders and lies.
