Shaykh 'Ubayd replied that, no, they are not considered to be from Ahlus-Sunnah, and that they are ahlul-bid'ah, they are those who do not include 'amal (action) as a necessary requirement of one's eemaan, and they say that eemaan does not increase or decrease.

As for the statement of some of the ulamaa', that they are closest to Ahlus-Sunnah, then this does not include them in the Sunnah, like when we say that the Christians are closer to Islaam than the Jews, this does not include them in Islaam.

The shaykh re-affirmed that it is NOT to be said of them: MURJI'ATU Ahlis-Sunnah, as this includes them amongst Ahlus-Sunnah, and they are certainly from Ahlul-Bid'ah...
