Assalamu Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu!!

All Praise Is Due To Allah And May The Peace And Blessings Of Allah Be Upon His Messenger Mohammed Ibn Abdullah(Sallahu Alaihi Wassalam)And His Family And All His Companions(Radhiallahu Anhum)!

Inshallah i read a brother posting something on basics! So i thought i'l post the notes on the lecture of Sheikh Tahareed Ad-Dosaree's Explanation of the 7 principles!!

The 7 Conditions of laailahaillaallah:

1. Al Iýlm- Knowledge of the meaning of laailahaillaallah

And the meaning is ýlaa maýbuda bi haqqin illa allahý ý ýthat there is no one worthy of worship truly except Allahý

Quranic proof

Proof for this condition is found in Surah Mohammed Chapter 47 Verse 19:

Translation:

ýKNOW that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah and ask for forgiveness of your lord for your sinsý

Proof from Sunnah

The saying of the prophet salalllahualiahiwasalam:

ýMan maata wahuwa yaýlamu annahu laailahaillaallah dhaakhalal jannahý

ýWhoever dies KNOWING laailahaillaallah then he will enter jannahý- Sahih Muslim, book of imaan

2. Al Yaqeen- ýCertaintyý the like of which negates doubt (shakk)

What is Yaqeen?

That he or she pronounces the kalmia and is totally aware of what he or she is saying and not for one moment has any doubt of its meaning.

Quranic proof

Surah Al Hujurat (49) Verse 15:

ýOnly those are the believers who have believed in Allah and His Messenger, and afterward doubt not but strive with their wealth and their lives for the Cause of Allah. Those! They are the truthful.ý

Proof from Sunnah

Narrated by Abu Huraira radiallahuý anhu that the messenger of Allah salalllahualiahiwasalam said:

ýThe servant meeting Allah having testified that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah and that I a his messenger, not DOUBTING them shall enter jannahý- Sahih Muslim Book of imaan

3. Al Inqiad- Compliance/submission or to submit and comply, which is in opposition to rejection or not to complying or not to submit.

What is al Inqiad?

It is to comply with the kalmia with the heart, and limbs and everything that it comes with.

Quranic proof

Surah Az Zumar Chapter 39 Verse 54:

"And turn in repentance and in obedience with true Faith (Islamic Monotheism) to your Lord and SUBMIT to Him, (in Islam), before the torment comes upon you, then you will not be helpedý

Proof from Sunnah

The prophet salalllahualiahiwasalam said ýNone of you shall believe truly until his desires follow (comply) what I have come withý AL Baghawi ýSharh of Al Sunnah ý Page 213 Vol 1

This proof was taken from an explanation by sheikh Obaid Al Jaabiri hafithahullah on al Inqiad

4. Al Qubool- Acceptance, that is in opposition to rejection. That you accept this kalmia with your heart, tongue and limbs.

Quranic proof

Surah As Saffat Chapter 37 Verse 35-36:

ýTruly, when it was said to them: La ilaha ill-Allah "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)," they puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it).
36. And (they) said: "Are we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet?ý

Meaning that they denied ACCPETING this kalmia, and they showed pride(in ACTION/LIMBS), and they said (with their TONGUES) ýAre we going to abandon our aliha (gods) for the sake of a mad poet?ý

So from us being Muslims we ACCEPT this kalmia and oppose these mushrikeen, in what they denied (kalima), carried out(pride) and said about the kalima. I hope this clear inshallah!

Muslims accept all prohibitions!!!

Proof from Sunnah

Abu Musa radiallahý anhu reported that the prophet Muhammad salalllahualiahiwasalam said:
ýThe similitude of the guidance and knowledge with which allah has sent me is like abundant rain falling on the earth, (1)some of which was fertile soil absorbed that water and brought forth vegetation and grass in abundance. (2)Another portion of it was hard and held the rain water and allah benefited the people with and they utilize it for drinking , making their animals drink from it  and irrigated their land for cultivation. (3)And a portion of it was barren which could neither hold the water nor bring forth vegetation. The first(1) is the example of the person who comprehends Allahýs religion and gets benefit from that knowledge which allah the exalted  has revealed through me and learns, then teaches others. The last example is that of the person who does not care for it and does not take Allahýs guidance revealed through meý

This hadeeth is for added benefit not given by the sheikh hafithahullah but was taken from Sheikh Obaid Al Jaabiri hafithahullah on Al Qubool

5.As Sidq- Truthfulness in opposition to lying.

What is As Sidq?

It is that the person is truthful when he makes the announcement of the kalima true with it in his heart.

Quranic proof

Surah Al Bayyinah Chapter 98 Verse 5:

ýAnd they were commanded not, but that they should worship Allah, and worship none but Him alone being sincere in the deen, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat: and that is the true or right religion.ý

The sheikh hafithahullah gave this ayah but for added benefit there are other ayahs which you may find more clearly as a form of proof:

Surah al Ankabut Chapter  29 Verses 1-3

ý1. Alif Lam Meem. (These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.)

2. Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: "We believe," and will not be tested.

3. And We indeed tested those who were before them. And Allah will certainly make (it) known (the truth of) those WHO ARE TRUE, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are liars, (although Allah knows all that before putting them to test).ý

Proof from Sunnah

Narrated by Muýad Ibn Jabal radiallahý anhu that the prophet Muhammad salalllahualiahiwasalam said: ýThere is no one who testifies truthfully from his heart  that there is no deity worthy of worship except allah and Muhammad is his servant and messenger except that Allah will save him from the hell fire ýSahih Bukhari Book of Knowledge

I went through the tape and it was not clear which ahadith this was so I used the highly regarded works of Sheikh Obaid Al Jaabiri hafithahullah on As Sidq.

6.Al Mahabba- Love in opposition to hate, and love for this kalima and its conditions and meaning of the kalima.

What Is Mahabba?

And that he or she loves:

Salaah
Sawm
Hajj
Zakah
Amaana(Chastness)

And He/She Hates :
Kuffar
Zina
Killing
Stealing
Lying
Cheating
Anger

And he loves everyone that comes with this kalima, messengers, and righteous people, muslims.

Two Types of loves and like wise two types of fear:

Natural Love(Mahabatun Tabiýee)and Love of Ibaadah

Natural Fear (Khawfun Tabiýee)and Fear of Ibaadah

Quranic proof

Surah Al Baqarah chapter 2 verse 165:

ýAnd of mankind are some who take (for worship) others besides Allah as rivals (to Allah). They love them as they love Allah. But those who believe, love Allah more (than anything else). If only, those who do wrong could see, when they will see the torment that all power belongs to Allah and that Allah is Severe in punishment.ý

Proof from Sunnah

it is narrated by Anas radiallahý anhu that the prophet Muhammad salalllahualiahiwasalam said: ýwhoever posses the following 3 qualities he will attain the sweetness of faith: 1) Allah and his messenger are dearer to him than anything else, 2) To Love a person for nothing except the sake of allah, 3) To hate to revert to disbelief, having been saved from it by allah, as he hates being thrown into hellfireý Sahih Muslim book of imaan

I went through the tape and the sheikh hafithahullah never mentioned any ahadith so I used the highly regarded works of Sheikh Obaid Al Jaabiri hafithahullah on Al Mahaba.

7.Al Ikhlas- Sincerity, and that you worship allah sincerely, to seek his face.

Quranic proof

Surah Az Zumar Chapter 39 Verse 3:

ýIs it not to Allah that sincere devotion is due..ý

Surah Al Bayyinah Chapter 98 Verse 5:

ýAnd they were commanded not, but that they should worship Allah, and worship none but Him alone being SINCERE in the deen, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat: and that is the true or right religion.ý

Proof from Sunnah

Narrated by Abu Huraira radiallah anhu that the prophet Muhammad salalllahualiahiwasalam said: ýthe happiest person who will have my intercession will be the one who said SINCERELY (from the bottom of the heart): None is worthy of worship except Allahý Sahih Bukhari ,Book of knowledge
