As-Salaam Alaykum.

I heard from a tape a while ago of one of the scholars of Jordan (not sure if it was either Musa Nasr or Hasan Al-Halabi). On it was mentioned that the qadar (decree) of Allah is of two parts or two ways. Qadar Al-Kawnee (that which Allah likes and is pleased with) wa Qadar Ash-Shar'ee (that which Allah is not necessarily pleased with but which he allows) and that a slave will enter the Jaannah by the Qadar Al-Kawnee AND the Qadar Ash-Shar'ee and that a slave will enter the Naar (Hellfire, wan'na'uthu billahi'man thalikh) based upon the Qadar Ash-Shar'ee only. My question to the shiyookh and likewise to the talibul'elm is can the evidences of these pricipals from our salafu'salih or that the evidence from our beloved prophet sal'Allahu' alahe wa salaam be posted for these principals.

Baarak-Allaahu Feekum - wa sal-Allaahu wa-sallam 'alaa Nabiyyinaa Muhammad,
was-Salaam 'alaykum wa-Rahmatullaahe wa-Barakaatuh.

As-Salaam Alaikum

You have mixed up al-qadar al-kawnee with al-qadar ash-shar'ee in your post above, when you explained what each one is.

Also Bilal Philips is one of the opposers of the Salafi manhaj. Refer to the posts concerning him on this forum, that someone has posted.

Barak Allahu' Feekum. May Allah forgive me for mixing these statements up and possibly confusing the people.

I am aware Bilal Phillips is [omitted], I do not understand what this has to do with my post? Please advise.

Bilal Philips opposes the Salafee manhaj, and he is with the Hizbees in his da'wah, but we do not make tabdee' of him, until there is a precedent from the scholars.

We can't remember exactly what was in your post as it has been some days now, but it contained some wording that was not appropriate given Bilal Philips current situation of opposing the Salafee manhaj in his actions and in his dawah, and attacking the Salafees for no other reason except because they gave sincere advice to him to correct his ways.

That's all.

Aboo Muhammad Ismaa'eel ibn Marshood ibn Ibraaheem ar-Rumayyih compiled a book entitled "al-Fawaa'idul Muntaqaat min sharhi Kitaabit Tawheed" by Shaikh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-Uthaymeen where the compiler brings ninety seven benefits from the Shaikh's explanation of the book Kitaabut Tawheed. The second benefit was as follows:

The Qadaa of Allaah is of two types:

1-Kawnee: And this has to occur involving that which Allaah loves and also that which He does not love.

2-Shar'ee: And this will not exist accept with something that Allaah loves. It may occur and (it is possible that) it may not occur.

Ishkaal (things that are problematic for the masses of the people): "How does Allaah decree something that He does not love?"

The Shaikh answered: That which is mahboob [beloved] is of two types:

1-Mahboob lighairihi: meaning that which is not intrinsically beloved. (But) this may be detested intrinsically, however, beloved due to it containing some benefit and wisdom. So it will be beloved by Allaah from one aspect and detested from another aspect. This is (very) posssible. For example, the ill person with (regards to taking) medicine, whether it is from cauterization or other than that, it is mahboob (beloved) to Him from one aspect and detested from another aspect.

2-Mahboob lidhaatihi, that is, essentially beloved: And this causes no ishkaal or problems (for the masses of the Muslims.
