This is a summary of the first half of the book pertaining to al-Asmaa' was-Sifaat. This is the first version and may be updated with slight changes - such as addition of references from the Qur'aan, or slight variation in wording to make it more compact. Taqreeb ut-Tadmuriyyah of Shaykh Ibn `Uthaymeen has been relied upon. All updates will be posted on this thread. This is more useful to those who have already studied the book, and it serves as a memory, revision aid, or a checklist. It is basically, a structual summary, useful for those who already have notes. The maps contain more or less all the details, with the exception of a number of matters that could not be fitted in. This was to allow the maps to be printed on A4 size, without making the size too small to read. Suggestions, advice and improvements welcomed.

Part 1: The Introduction, Two Foundations, and Two Examples

Note that the two foundations and the two examples given, and the seven rules (below), are actually an illustration of the truth of what is in the introduction made by Shaykh ul-Islaam to the book, namely the various principles of Ahl us-Sunnah outlined by Shaykh ul-Islaam, and this is what Shaykh ul-Islaam indicated by saying, "And this will become clear by two noble foudations, two examples that are struck - and to Allaah belongs the loftiest example - and a comprehensive ending [comprising seven rules]". So consider the two foundations, two examples and seven rules to be a tafseer of the muqaddimah.

Jazaakumullaahu khayran!  Is Taqreeb At-Tadmuriyyah translated, or in the works?

Part 3 - al-Qadr and ash-Shar` (the Divine Decree and the Divine Legislation)

  • The Four Levels of al-Qadr
  • The Creational and Legislative Asbaab (Ways and Means)
  • The Human is Mureed, Qaadir, Faa`il
  • The Obligation to Have Imaan in Both al-Qadr and ash-Shar`
  • The Deviant Groups

Regarding the translation, the majority of at-Taqreeb was dictated out and detailed notes were made by a couple of the brothers who attended the lessons. Thus, the translation exists on paper (amidst comments, explanations etc.) and is shared between the attendees. It needs to be put together and checked, edited, revised, amended etc. Whether this can be achieved (given time and resources required) remains to be said!

Part 2 has been modified slightly

Part 6 - al-Fanaa and the Two Principles of al-Amr and the Two Principles of al-Qadr

This is the end of the summarisation of the whole book. These six diagrams contain the essence of what is discussed in this book. Again, comments, advice, suggestions, improvements welcomed.

Exactly which lessons are you referring to?
