Assalaamu Alaikum

In light of the month of Muharram, one of the somewhat notorious elements which we all know about is the congregation of the Raafidah Shia to commemorate the martyrdom of Hussain ibn Ali at Kerbala.

What i would like to know is - having come from a Jafri-Ithna Ashariyyah background and having attended many majaalis' of these liars as a youth with my family, who unfortunately are still upon this path, may Allah guide them to the Haqq (Ameen) - is that these lying speakers usually if not always convey the events of Kerbala in a somewhat fantasy-like spectacle, where the dead physically come back, speak and aid the living etc.

What i would like to know is Ahl us Sunnah's point of view of the events pertaining Kerbala and what ACTUALLY happened. It would be much appreciated if anyone can direct me towards some texts, preferably in english concerning the issue.

Would be extremely useful when giving Da'wah to family.

JazakAllah Khair

Abu Hanaa'
