Alhumdullilah, i came across a real nice statement made by a brother..
"Finally, the glut of emails and text messages that everyone receives at such times urging people to ýmake duýý need to be tempered with some harsh reality: your duýý is only as good as you yourself. If you have hope in yourself (and you should of course) then have some hope for your duýý but if weýre still indulging in the haram and leaving your obligations then not only could we be wasting our time but weýre also a living proof of why Allah continues to show the results of our own actions in the deaths of our brothers and sisters elsewhere."
I totally agree with this, and think that we should all make sincere dua' and not get caught up in these days where everyone will fast together etc.
Please brothers and sisters make the upmost effort to make dua and make others aware of this sad sad sad situation. The Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) told us that the ummah is like a body, if one parts gets hurt, the WHOLE body will be hurt.
