Salaam. Can anyone tell me about this person. She has been promnoted by many ahlul hadeeth as being upon the correct understanding of the quran and sunnah. she runs an institute called al-huda.
people who have heard her lectures say that it all conforms with the authenticx teachingg.
has anyone heard of her. I heard that some people were checking her out and her talk and i heard on another forum that people in saudi were also checking her out as her lectures are really popular and many people are coming onto the uthentic teachings inshallha

Farhat Hashmi was present for a special womens session.
The other speakers at this conference were
Bilal Philips, Tawfique Chawdhury, Waleed Basyouni, Abdur Raheem Green, etc
Al Huda is also present at Al Maghrib Courses advertising their institute there.
I need not say anymore about the institute it talks for itself being present in such places along with such individuals.

as-salaamu 'alekum warhamatullahi wabarakatuh:
As the brother stated - Al-Huda recently have had issues (since it moved from Pakistan to Canada due to life-threats from the barawalies, soofies, etc; and fell into fitna); however it is inappropriate at the moment to comment about Dr. Farhat Hashmi due to reasons that inshaAllah can be brought to light at the proper time.

I once purchased her tapes as a gift for my mother, thinking that she was salafee. The first lecture that my mother played from the set was titled, "Eid al-Mawlid an-Nabawi." Or something similar to it. I do recall the word Mawlid and Nabawi being in the title. I thought that it would be a refutation against the Mawlid. Instead it turned out to be a lecture at which Dr. Farhat Hashmi was speaking about the virtues of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). She wasn't refuting the Mawlid in the lecture. It is important to note that there might be a possibility that the publishers of the lecture placed the title on tape without her knowledge. Allah knows best. But this lecture is out there being spread. Allah knows best if she is aware of it.

Aslaamu'alaykum Wa Rahmatullah,
I Spoke to Dr Farhat a few years ago, When i was trying to find out what Manhaj She was upon. She has a audio lecture called 'Ayatul Kursi' in which she stated that the Kursi of Allaah meant his 'Hukoomah'
Likwise the lecture by one of her students states the same!
Please check the Tafsir of Ayatul Kursi by Sheikh ibn Uthaymeen - Dr Saleh Saleh - for further understanding upon this matter -
So i spoke to her about it, and she did not seem to concerned about it!
Then later when i spoke to her Husband, he agreed that it was wrong, and that the lecture would be removed from Huda's website (over the following year)...i would check frequently..and no clarification, and neither had the lecture been removed...!
I hear now that she has done a lecture, and has stated the correct meaning of Kursi (Allahu Alim)
Also in the long discussion with her husband, he refuses to call himself 'Salafi' or 'Ahlul Hadith' !
He states that it is allowed for women to travel without their Mahrams!
And many other intresting issues of manhaj came out of the discussion!
So please be aware...
But it is important that our sisters learn matters of their Manhaj and they will understand the issues surrounding Dr Farhat and Her Husband!

Can someone post some concrete information about her 'Aqeedah and Manhaj since her da'wah is cathing up especially amongst the urban muslim women.

I would like to re-tract my above statement due to additional information and confirmation of the doctrine of Al-Huda. Al-Huda and it's founder always had issue even before they moved to Toronto, Canada and were advised by salafi brothers in Pakistan after the passing away of Ihsaan ilaahi rahimullah who was in opposition to the 'aqeedah of founders of Al-Huda.
inshaaAllah, the details will follow along with speech of Shaykh Ihsaan ilaahi clearly indicating that even though al-Huda founder might try to promote himself by attaching his name to Shaykh Ihsaan ilhaahi - he is far away from the 'aqeedah of Ahlus Sunnah.
