One of the Local masjids issued a six page article on the permissibility of not reciting Surah Fatiah in the Funeral Prayer, Most of the article was, as usual without any evidence, but on some instances they quote some of companions such as Omar bin Khattab, (RadyAllaahanho) and also Sheikh-ul Islaam Ibn taymiyyah and Ibn ul-Quyum (Rahimahullah), I have checked through the books on funerals but there is no detailed explanation. I would be grateful for some clarification/advice/guidance on this matter
