Benefits from Tafseer Sooratul Kahf:1
Sooratul Kahf is a Makkan Soorah, and some of the explainers of the Qur?aan have made an exception to some of the verses: the beginning of it (1-8) and verse number 28 and from 107-110 that they are Madeenan. But this exception is in need of evidence, because the basic principle is that the Makkan soorahs are all Makkan and that Madeenan soorahs are all Madeenan, so if you see an exception then it must have a proof(i.e. for the exception).

The Makkan Soorah is that which was revealed before the Hijrah and the Madeenan Soorah is that which was revealed after the Hijrah, even if it was revealed in other than Madeenah; like (the meaning of) the statement of Allaah the Most High, ?This day I have perfected your religion for you, and completed My favour upon you, and am pleased with Islaam as your religion.? This was revealed in `Arafah, in the year of the Fare Well Hajj.

?Al Hamd? It is to describe the one who you are praising with perfection out of love and veneration. And by our statement ?out of love and veneration? ?Madh?is not included; because Madh does not necessitate the love and the veneration?
