We were only conversing and jesting.? The Messenger of Allaah would only reply to him saying: ?Is it Allaah. His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking? Make no excuse! You have rejected faith after your belief. If we pardon a faction among you, we will punish a faction for they were criminals.? [At-Tawbah: 65,66]? This is how Allaah Has made the act of ridiculing the believers tantamount to scorning Allaah, His verses and His Messenger. And Allaah is the Master of all Success!
