DaGambia Update
The Progress of the Salafi Dawah in Gambia
Assslamualaikum
All Praises be to Allah, who has facilitated the establishment of the Salafi Dawah in Banjul the Gambian Capital and enabled it to grow over the past few years.
After the blessing of Allah and much hard work and toil we have now begun to see the blessed Salafi Dawah blossoming as Dagambia embarks upon its ambitious programme of three Salafi seminars for the summer of 2006.
The first As?Sunnah Seminar which has just taken place (details attached) has been a resounding success with over 200 students attending as we note below
As Sunnah Seminar
(24th June 2006 ? Tallingding Kunjang Islaamic Union School)

Al hamdulillah. The One who facilitated for us all our affairs and granted us tawfeeq. The Seminar (As Sunnah Seminar) which started last Saturday is going very well. We have to now around 200 attendees, and the numbers are increasing daily since the news is spreading. We are distributing books daily, and leaflets etc. We have had a good response walaillahil hamd.
We do hope that we build up upon this khair in the next 2 seminars.
Also the Iftaar initiative and the Quran competition are awaiting. |

Assalamu Alaikum
Jazzak Allahu khayr for this beautiful thread about the progress of the da'wah in Gambia. Alhamdulilah! I was under the impression that salafi da'wah in Gambia had all but ended. How wrong was I!
Just wanted to know if there was any way we could assist the da'wah effort there? The websites been down for a while, will it be up again?

2. Details of Al Itsiqaamah Seminar this was previously scheduled for the 8th July, but has been pushed back to the 15th July to allow us time to better prepare and advertise.
