1. what is this book about ?
It is a book that identifies the latter of two contradictory positions that the shaykh, may Allaah have Mercy on him, had on some of the hadeeth he made rulings on.
It is divided into sections:
[1] Narrations that he specifically stated that he retracted his earlier position on;
[2] Narrations that were mistakenly referenced;
[3] Narrations that he retracted his earlier position on them, that which is known by which books were written first (the majority of the book);
[4] Narrations that he called hasan and then later called them saheeh, or vice-versa;
[5] Narrations that he was silent about in "mishkaat al-masaabeeh", then later made a ruling on them.
