On a homeschooling group some one from the group posted excerpts from a book titled: Wafayat al-Ayan. Has any one one ever heard of it?

What does the title of the book translate to? Or who are the author or the publisher? What is the subject of the book? Can you please give us some examples from the table of content?

Wafayaat Al-A'yaan is a book of biographies / history written by ibn khaalikaan. I do not have any other information. This book can be found and read on the web. I don't know if this book is recommended by Salafi Scholars, so I won't put the link on this board.
