I recently assisted a brother help his sahab move his belongings after his wife kicked him out of her house. The brother admonished his friend for moving into her house in the first place; stating he left her in "control, thus falling into what he called the "section 8 trap". This led me to ask the following questions:
1. The US government makes women sign an agreement stipulating that it is not permissable to have a man live in their section 8 house. Is it permissable for a Muslim to violate this agreement or must he/she abide by it?
2. Is there an existing fatwa by one of the Ulemah on this subject, or can someone ask one of them?
