An excellent eye-opening lecture by this noble Shaykh that discusses the importance of love, unity, true brotherhood and maintaining excellent manners. With ample statements and actions of the Sahaabah and those who followed their way, the Shaykh makes abundantly clear the way of the Salaf.
Delivered on 13 February 2005. The lecture is followed by a question and answer session. The first question is concerning whether the Sahaabah differed in the fundamentals. The Shaykh rebuts the false notion that the Sahaabah differed in the matters of the fundamentals of the Religion.
In the second question, the Shaykh clarifies and repels a rumour that some have spread - that a bayaan issued by some brothers in Madinah intended Maktabah Salafiyyah and those who run its affairs specifically. The Shaykh mentions that Maktabah Salafiyyah was not intended nor specified in this bayaan at all, and to say such a thing is a clear apparent lie and it is not permissible to say or spread such a lie. Nevertheless anyone who fell into error, regardless of who that may be, should rectify his affair and return to the truth. The Shaykh strongly advised against rumour-mongering, backbiting and talking about issues that bring about no benfit.
The final question put to the Shaykh is regarding what a new Muslim should do in seeking of knowledge. The question is asked by a new Muslim who came straight in Salafiyyah and seeks guidance in seeking knowledge. |
