Does anyone know about "Studying Islam" an affiliate of al-Mawrid based in the UK. Also they make a difference in Hadeeth and Sunnah ??? Which is rather Ajeeb and confusing...
Any of the brothers in the UK if you know of them please give some insight. Jazakumullaah khair

Assalaamualaikum,
To re-iterate brother Aslam's question. One of doubts raised by those influenced by this group are:
This group makes a distinction between Ahadith and Sunnah.
They claim that the Sunnah is the actions of the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) and takes precedence over his statements.
Can someone please reply with evidence on how to refute this doubt which is being spread here in Southern California. ------------------------------------------------------------
From my reading and listening to lectures, the Sunnah has been defined as:
That which the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said, That which he did, That which he approved of by being silent.
Can someone please post the proof for the above statement, so that it can be used to refute the doubts by this group.
Barakallah feek, Ifthikar
