URGENT PLEA: Save A Salafi Masjid!
Save A Salafi Masjid!
Bismillaah Wal-Hamdulillaah Was-Salaatu Was-Salaam 'Alaa Rasoolillaah. Amma Ba'd:
As many of you may know that our noble brothers and sisters and Masjid Ahlul Quran wa Hadeeth in Washington, DC are in extreme need of funds in order to save their masjid from being shut down.
They have invested more $100,000 dollars and still need $30,000 to pay of a debt (not involving interest) by Wednesday July 7th, 2004, otherwise they will not only be forced to move out of the building, but they will also lose the money that they have already invested.
Our brothers and sisters at Masjid Ahlul Quran wa Hadeeth have worked hard in the establishment of the only masjid that is operated by the Salafiyeen upon the methodology of Ahlus Sunnah wal-Jama'ah in the greater DC metro area.
'Uthmaan ibn 'Affaan narrated that the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said:
"Whoever builds a Masjid seeking only from it the Face of Allaah, then Allaah will build a house for him in Paradise." (Saheeh Bukhaaree and Saheeh Muslim)
Ibn 'Umar narrated that the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said:
"A Muslim is a brother to another Muslim. He neither oppresses him, nor humiliates him, nor forsakes him. Whosoever helps his brother, Allaah will help him. Whosoever removes one of the griefs of this world from a Muslim, then Allaah will remove one of his griefs on the Day of Resurrection. And whosoever hides a fault of any Muslim, then Allaah will hide one of his faults on the Day of Resurrection." (Saheeh Bukhaaree and Saheeh Muslim)
O Brothers and Sisters! Do not let this opportunity go by. Not only will you be helping to build a masjid for the sake of Allaah (Jalla Wa 'Alaa), but you will also be aiding your brothers and sisters in a time of extreme need and difficulty. You will be removing the grief of not one Muslim brother or sister but an entire community of Muslim brothers and sisters!
Abu Hurayra narrated that a man came to the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and asked, "O Messenger of Allaah! Which charity is the most superior in reward?" He replied:
"The charity which you practice while you are healthy, tightfisted, and afraid of poverty and wish to become wealthy. Do not delay it to the time of approaching death and then say, 'Give so much to such and such, and so much to such and such.' And it has already belonged to such and such (as it is too late)." (Saheeh Bukhaaree and Saheeh Muslim)

310 SALAFEES CAN EASILY GIVE UP $100 TO RAISE THE NECCESSARY FUNDS. THIS IS SOOOOOOO EASY TO DO:

As Salaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu!
We, The Shurah Board, at Masjid Ahlul Qur?an wal Hadeeth, first thank Allah ta?ala for helping us and allowing us to benefit from his provisions. After thanking Allah, we want to also thank our brother Taalib Abdullah and Masjid Dawa ilat Tawheed in Baltimore, Md. for their substantial contribution toward the purchase of the Masjid. In addition, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to brother Muhammad Ameen for his encouragement and plea to the brothers and sisters while at the Conference in New Jersey and elsewhere. To our brother Abu Uwais, Abu Muhammad al Jamaiky and Musa Abu Sawad of Markaz Imam Adh-Dhahabee for there valuable insight and naseehah in this affair. Thanks to brother Abu Muhammad Al-Magribi, brother Daud Adib and all of the Salafiyoon that have sacrificed their time and wealth to help us acquire the Masjid.
CURRENT SITUATION
Monday 7/12/04, we visited the attorney that represents the owners of the building and presented him with twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), leaving a remaining balance of twenty-seven thousand dollars ($27,000) for 2004. Forty seven thousand dollars ($47,000) was due 6/7/05, which leaves an overall balance of seventy-four thousand ($47,000) dollars to be paid.
In an attempt to restructure the payoff agreement, we presented the owners a proposal. The proposal outlines a five-month extension on the remaining balance of twenty-seven thousand dollars ($27,000), and at present, we are waiting for a response.
NEW UPDATE
On 7/24/04, a generous donor presented Masjid Ahlul Quran wal Hadeeth a check for $15,000, Al Humduliallah! May Allah Subhannahu wa Ta?ala reward him. In addition, we have collected $4,000 bringing the total amount to $19,000 raised since 7/12/04. This gives us a remaining balance of $8,000 due to complete this year?s payment. With the $19,000 paid, we will owe $55,000 and the building will be paid in full in sha? Allah.
PAYMENT
Al Hamdulillah, we have paid one hundred and twenty-seven thousand dollars ($127,000) toward a two hundred thousand dollar ($200,000) building (ribaa free). If these payments are satisfied, Inshallah the salafiyoon will own the building.
YOU CAN HELP
Our goal, with the help of Allah Subhannahu wa Ta?ala, is to pay off the building. We have a total payoff balance of $55,000. We surmise that if 370 of the Salafiyoon donate one hundred fifty dollars (equaling $55,500) by October 2004, the building is PAID. This will give the Salafyoon victory over the hizbiyoon and the likes of them, and will undoubtedly strengthen our Dawah to Tawheed based on the Kitab, Sunnah, and the understanding of the Salaf as-Saalih.
WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE DELAY IN PROVIDING THE UPDATE
We ask Allah ta?ala to give all of us Tawfeeq and to make us firm upon this Dawah. Ameen!

Alhamdulillah! This is excellent news. I was starting to get really worried and thought (astaghfirullah) maybe our Brothers and sisters of washington d.c had lost the builiding!!! I am very relieved to hear you still possess the building.
May Allah enable you and give you the tawfeeq to pay off the remaining money needed to purchase the building. AMEEN.
