Assalamu alaikum
I need detailed info regarding Muhammad Lawh. While I was in Gambia I met some people who claimed that he was a caller to Salafiyyah in Senegal and that his classes were good. Prior to me going there I also heard good things about this man. Upon my return I was informed that one of the students in Al-Medina University heard some people asking some of the Scholars about him. I don't know exactly what they were asking about him. I heard that it was something negative i.e. like he said/did something and some people were asking some of the Scholars about his statment/act but I don't know exactly what it was. I hear he is/was a Daa'ee in Senegal. I have some family there so I need to know about his manhaj and can we take from him because I don't know of any Salafi Du'aat/students of knowledge in that area. I need to know who are the reliable Salafi Du'aat in Senegal. All I know so far is that this man (Muhammad Lahw) is a Phd. in Aqeedah and was a student of Shaikh Rabee'. I heard this from some of the Du'aat but I need more detailed info and this is all the info that was known by the Daa'ee I asked about this man. If any of the students/Du'aat or any bros have info it would be greatly appriciated and may Allah reward you. The more details the better. If you don't know maybe you could ask someone you know who might know and post it here for the benefit of the Salafi Da'wah and your bros in Al-Islam.

mashallah what i know about shaykh Lawh is that he wrote two very valuable books, each of them was a thesis for his his masters and phd and both were under the supervision of shaykh saleh suhaymee. shaykh lawh earnt status amongst the ulema for his excellent works for which he was awarded full marks and a "recommendation to publish" which is not easy. shaykh abdurazaak alabbaad had direct contact with him in preparing his second work (at least) for print as i was in sh abdurrazak's house when shaykh lawh presented the printed version to the shaykh and he was commenting about the publishers etc.
the books are invaluable for any salafee student to have. one is called "taqdees al-ashkhaas fil fikr as-soofee" "the elevation of personalities in the soofee thought" and the other one "janaayatu-ta'weeli-lfaasid alal- aqeedatil islamiyah" (or a title similar) "the perpetration of false interpretation upon the islamic belief" in which he destroys the innovators and exposes finely al-qaradwi and hasan albanna.
this is what i remember of him and unless something hard and fast comes through i dont imagine the ulema to say a bad word against him. shaykh saleh as-suhaymee would be the one to ask as he was his direct supervisor over these two pieces of work for a lengthy period of time.

I did not visit the people you listed below and I never heard of them before. I went to the Gambia through the bros from www.dagambia.com. They posted their site here on salafitalk. They were the only Salafis I knew of in the Gambia and please check your PM Baarakallahu feekum.
