Subhaanallah! What Liars!

I received more than one phone call this evening (Monday 20th April, 2004) asking whether it was true that Shaykh Rabee had passed away.

I was shocked as only two hours prior to this I had spoken to Khalid Bagais Abu Ziyaad Al-Atharee, who happened to be sitting next to Shaykh Rabee in Makkah! Still, death can come at any time and it may take much less than that if Allah wills it. So I phoned him up again at 2135 hours. He said he was back in Jeddah. When I asked him about this news he said that he had also heard similar claims and that there was nothing to worry about as the Shaykh had just phoned him FIVE minutes before that! (2130 hours).

Yaa Ikhwaan, the weak in faith and understanding consider that without such cornerstones of this Noble Salafi Da?wah the boat will sink. This is a false and feeble claim. The Messenger of Allah (  ) said: "There will never cease to be a group from amongst my Ummah firm upon the truth, not being affected by those who differ from them or abandon them until Allah's command comes" (Bukhari, Muslim and others).

When the previous Imams of Ahlussunnah passed away, ahlul-Bid'ah considered it to be a dent in the side of the Salafi Da'wah! Allahu Akbar! And how could this be the case when it is Allah the Most High the All Just Who is protecting and preserving this Noble Deen? How and this Da?wah is none other than the Path of the Prophet (   )?

"Indeed We have sent down the Reminder (the Qur'an) and indeed We shall preserve it" (15:9)

So it only remains to remind that even if Ahlussunnah were to be given sad news of the death of any of their scholars, the following hadeeth would console them:
Abdullah Ibn Abbas (  ) relates that the Prophet (   ) said "When any of you is faced with a calamity, then let him remember his calamity over my death, for indeed it is from the greatest of calamities"
(Reported by Ibn Adee in Al-Kaamil and Al-Bayhaqee in Sho'ab Al-Eemaan). [Saheeh-ul-Jaami No. 347]

May Allah sever the tongues of those who lie against the scholars of Ahlussunah.

Assalamu alaikum

This is nothing new. When Shaikh Muqbil was sick (rahimullah) the same thing took place. People were lieing and saying that he was dead. I think the same thing happend with Al-Albaanee, ibn Baaz and maybe others.
