who is behind POTS(protectors of the sunnah) what is their manhaj? a little background would be apreciated for anyone who knows barakallahu feekum

Unless there was a recent clarifaction that I am not aware of a more accurate name for POTS is "ProTamyee". It is the pits.
We (meaning the salafees in NC) have known Jamaal for years and those before us (such as Taalib Abdullaah) know him well.
Because of HIS thinking and "master plan" many have found it difficult to work with him upon khair over the years.
There is no working with PROtamyee' unless its by Jamaal At-Tajary's hizbee rules. As for principles based upon texts found in the Book of Allaah, the Sunnah, and the way of the Salaf, then this needs to be examined by him firstly to see if they coincide with HIS understanding, "years of experience", and vast knowledge. Ajeeb!
HIS organization PROtects innovators and suspect individuals such as Aboo Fitan and Aboo Usaamah. He has not clarified himself regarding these two individuals in the least, let alone many other suspect characters.
Not only has he not clarified but he has made it a point to aid against those who refute the mukhaalif by labeling them as either extreme, or youth with no proper adab. It is of no suprise that the above insult sounds just like that of his mentor, close confidant, and Shaykh - Aboo Usaamah. He also takes much of his wisdom and advice from Zorkane and those floating in that flimsy contraption they call a boat.
Jamaal At-Tajary is not a student and therefore lacks the ability to go to the books and tapes of the Ulamaa and call them when a matter arises yet amazingly he gives lessons in his masjid! From what the brothers have narrated concerning these classes, he takes the statements of the people of knowledge, reads them, and then gives an explanation based upon HIS understanding, "years of experience", and vast knowledge.
He does not associate with those upon clarity. To this day, he holds animosity for the Salafees in Durham for starting a da'wah center without consulting him first! Ajeeb!
As it relates to HIS conferences, he usually establishes these things as a response to something HE disagrees with from amongst the known Salafees. For example, if he views the Salafees as being harsh, he may have someone give a lecture entitled "Harshness in Islaam" or something similar.
No matter how many Salafee mashaayikh he brings we are certain that if he were to reveal his manhaj to them, they would not support him in the least.
His organization is one of tamyee' and hizbiyyah, bilaa shak, no matter how nice his salafee cloak is.
May Allaah guide us and him to that which is correct and keep us firm upon it.
